September 11-Nebraska fires Scott Frost. He was 1-2 this season and 0-1 in the Big Ten. In six seasons he was 16-31 and 10-26. He had been 19-7 at Central Florida, including winning the 2017 national championship.

Mickey Joseph named interim coach.

Former Temple and Baylor coach Matt Ruhle hired November 27. His career college record is 47-43

September 18-Arizona State fires Herm Edwards. He was 1-2 this year and was 26-20 and 17-14 in the PAC-12 in his fifth season. He was 54-74 in the NFL.

Shaun Aguano named interim coach.

Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham hired November 27.

September 25-Georgia Tech fires Geoff Collins. He was 1-3 this season and 0-1 in the ACC. He was 10-28 and 7-19 in his fourth season. He had been 15-10 at Temple.

October 2 - Colorado fired coach Karl Dorrell due to Buffaloes' 0-5 start to the 2022 season. He was 0-2 in the PAC-12. In his third season he was 8-15 and 6-9. Including his time at UCLA he was 43-42.

Mike Sanford (OC) will serve as interim coach.

October 2-Wisconsin fires Paul Chryst. He was 2-3 this year and 0-2 in the Big Ten. In his eighth season he was 67-26 and 43-18. Including his time at Pitt he was 86-45.

Jim Leonhard (DC) named interim coach.

Cincinnati coach Luke Fickell hired on November 27.

October 2-Charlotte fires Will Healy. He was 1-7 this year and 0-4 in CUSA. In four seasons he was 15-24 and 10-14. Overall he is 28-45 in seven seasons with his time at Austin Peay.

Peter Rossamando (offensive line) named interim coach.

Michigan Associate Head Coach Biff Poggi hired November 15.

October 31-Auburn fires Bryan Harsin. He was 3-5 and 1-4 in the SEC this year and 9-12 and 4-9 in two seasons. Overall record in ten seasons is 85-36.

Cadillac Williams (RB) named interim coach.

Liberty coach Hugh Freeze hired No

November 6-South Florida fires Jeff Scott. He was 1-8 this year and 0-5 in the AAC. In his third season he was 4-26 and 1-19.

Special teams coach Daniel Da Prato named interim coach.

November 26-Florida Atlantic fires Willie Taggart. He was 5-7 this year and 4-4 in the AAC. In three seasons he was 15-18 and 11-11. At more jobs than he deserved he is 71-80.

November 26-Stanford coach David Shaw resigns. He was 3-9 this year and 1-8 in the PAC-12. In 12 seasons he was 96-54 and 65-40.

November 27-Tulsa fires Philip Montgomery. He was 5-7 this year and 3-5 in the AAC. In eight seasons he was 43-53 and 28-34.

November 27-Texas State fires Jake Spivital. He was 4-8 this year and 2-6 in the Sun Belt. In four seasons he was 13-35 and 9-23.

November 27-Cincinnati coach Luke Fickel resigns to take the job at Wisconsin. He was 9-3 this year and 6-2 in the AAC. His overall record is 63-25.

November 28-Liberty coach Hugh Freeze resigns to become the Auburn coach. He was 8-4 this year and was 34-15 in four seasons. His career record is 76-47.

November 28-UNLV fires Marcus Arroyo. He was 5-7 this year and 3-5 in the MWC, In three years he was 7-23 and 5-17.

November 28-Western Michigan fires Tim Lester. He was 5-7 this year and 4-4 in the MAC. In six years he was 37-32 and 26-20. His overall record is 67-55.

That's two down, how many to go.

I never got the Edwards hire and it worked out as well as I expected.

Bill O'Brien is the greatest OC we have ever had. Nebraska would be lucky to have him. They should hire him effective immediately.
Sounds like the advice older pastors gave to churches if they wanted to get rid of their pastor: don't fire him and stir up the church. Go around bragging on him and another church will take him off your hands.
