Looks like major shakups are coming to conference play based upon a decision today by the NCAA. Conferences no longer have to select division winners for the conference championship but instead can select the two best teams. The PAC-12 wasted no time.

There was speculation that the SEC would drop
divisional play once Texas and Oklahoma joined. Each team would have three “traditional” opponents and the others would rotate onto the schedule as home and home. And the league would adopt a nine game conference schedule.

This is basically to ensure USC and Oregon will be in the game every year, and trying to protect USC this year because they go to SLC this year.

This wasn't just a PC12 ruling. It was an NCAA ruling and they realized that no one wants to see Ohio State blow out Iowa.
Yes but the PAC 12 is the ones who have been pushing it for the longest. It is weird that they implement it the second that it gets approved and are doing it when USC has the most optimism in 5-6 years but yet the hardest schedule that they have had in years
What's SLC?

Thanks I was drawing a blank there.
This rule may give us alot of rematches, but that's not a bad thing some years
