Check the history of that forum. Count how many threads say Saban won't interview with Alabama. Saban won't come to Alabama. Luther Davis won't visit Alabama. Luther Davis won't commit to Alabama....

Looks like its true. We've got to do something a little different in our approach to recruiting kids out of Mobile. This is even worse w/our probable loss of Murphy.

Credible sources are now reporting that Sidell Corley has committed to LSU.

I went to McGill for my freshman-junior year before moving over here this year. I talked to a couple of players on the team this weekend, and they thought he would probably end up committing to LSU. Phelon Jones went with him this weekend, and Phelon was one of the big reasons Sidell was thinking about LSU.

Until it's official, things can change, but this news is really not a surprise.

IMO,he has been looking everywhere but Bama. Also,his teamate P Jones is firm there so I guess ole CornB nailed it!FWIW he was never a given to Bama and for some reason Mobiles kids seem traitorish b/c many go out of state.

Unfortunately you see this with a lot of Mobile kids. Baton Rouge is closer to Mobile than T-town.

I'm so glad the game is won on the field and not during recruiting season. I can't find the post (probably because I haven't looked :biggrin2: ) but some one posted the recruiting rankings compared to the teams record over a five year span. I believe West Virginia, Miami, FSU, Tenn. etc. were on it and those that had top ten recruiting classes haven't performed as well as their recruiting "rankings" might would indicate.....

When I heard Phelon was accompanying him, I had my concerns...
 
One thing people need to start paying attention to is the recruit's host. It plays a way bigger role than most think. Read what you want to about Sidell and Miles, but Chevis Jackson stole Jones and Corley, not Miles
