Dates set for some games in Alabama’s 2024 schedule

Mississippi State does Not play Bama or the Barn in 2024, and of course LSU and Oklahoma have bye weeks before they play us. Man take a look at the SEC schedules your going to have to be "chopping in high cotton" to make it thru next year unscathed and the the SEC championship. College football will never be the same. I lived thru 2 dynasties ( still living in this one) what more could a Bama fan ask. Roll Tide.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been a Bama fan as of today 66 years, I just did realize the 1st 5 years that I was one.:)

Looks like we get an "Open" date between Whisky and Georgia. We're at Vandy the week after Georgia.
One can never be fully rid of Danielson…

Dude, I would listen to Danielson every Saturday if I had to, I am recovering from shingles and the only person I despise enough to wish Shingles on if PHAT Phil. Get you shingles shot today. Danielson is nothing compared to shingles pain.

Feel bad for Florida for this stretch to end the season. Absolutely brutal

Nov. 2: vs. Georgia (Jacksonville)
Nov. 9: at Texas
Nov. 16: vs. LSU
Nov. 23: vs. Ole Miss
Nov. 30: at Florida State
Auburn has Oklahoma, Georgia, Missouri, Kentucky, A&M, and Alabama. But at least it's spread out. That Florida stretch is brutal. They'd likely lose all but maybe Florida St anyway.
They should just forfet the first 4 of those, and prepare for Florida St.

That article, man I hate modern day “journalism”. I had to scroll past 10 paragraphs before I could see the schedule. Then I went back and read it, nothing they wrote was insightful. All of us could figure out everything they said by just looking at the schedule. /rant
Probably written by AI too

I heard Dukes and Bell in Atlanta, Mike Bell made the comment Georgia‘s 2024 schedule is one of the hardest in the country, Bama fans have to be happy, their schedule is like 2023 Georgia . Easy.

IMO Georgia has 2 difficult games they could lose (@ALABAMA and @Texas). Georgia plays Clemson in Atlanta but Clemson's been in decline. Bama has Georgia at home (which is still a difficult game), @ Tennessee, @ LSU and @ Oklahoma. I think Bama's schedule is more difficult.

Georgia's SEC opponents for 2024 went 65-33, while the teams Bama plays in 2024 went 62-35. Not a huge disparity in difficulty. Now let's do 2023:
Georgia opponents 53-43, Alabama opponents 56-40

So the 2024 schedule is a much stronger schedule for both teams but Georgia has a barely harder schedule(based on 2023 results). And it was a "down" year for the west with A&M(7-5), Arky(4-8) not doing well.

I'm not sure what the SEC was thinking on some of this scheduling stuff. Texas fans are mad they stuck the UGA game as a home game the same weekend F1 is in Austin. That seems pretty dumb.

Georgia, LSU, Vandy and Oklahoma all have open dates before playing Alabama.

Don’t discount going to Camp Randall , Fickell will have those Whisky boys playing well. I say going to Madison is a much tougher game than playing a decaying mini dynasty in Atlanta.

BTW, the other thing I heard on Atlanta radio is that 4 teams have byes the week before Georgia. Hello. Welcome to the world of big boy superpower football Georgia.

That is fair. Oklahoma is another story.
Well in some ways, Alabama has the advantage vs OU: they get to keep in the rhythm of playing without having to worry about the game (Mercer) and OU will be just the 3rd game after a bye. (The conventional wisdom is that the optimal time between byes is 5 games, more precisely, that is Saban's view.)
