I’m sure he’s not stupid enough to think that:
- a country that was formed some 175 years after the US somehow influenced its creation, or
- the US would not have survived post-WWEleven without dumping billions and billions on Israel…
So what in earth is he talking about?
It is a stupid Christian thing in this country, and it is so annoying. Even people at my church act like we all must support everything Israel does because they are in the Bible. I don't get it, and I don't understand these people's line of thinking. So, God's chosen people who rejected Jesus Christ are supposed to be placed on a pedestal by modern day Amercian Christians? There are many groups of people who rejected Christ in the Bible; should we celebrate them as well?
Also, I would bet that most Christians, probably most Americans these days, do not realize when Israel became a country.
Oh, they know it, but only because they believe it was the fulfillment of some prophecy. I've made my feelings about dispensationalism known and it blows me away how much influence Israel has on both foreign and domestic policy in the U.S. If Russia owned as many Congress-critters as AIPAC has bought, people would be literally rending their garments in the streets.
Hearing this morning that a group of hard line Israeli senators Lindsey Graham, Tom Cotton and others realize that support of Israel is falling dramatically among the US public and are seeking to embed it into the budgeting process in order to effectively hide it from public view. Dark money runs the US political system!
