That's the rumor I'm hearing from some LSU folks. Supposedly he wasn't committed to LSU, but is from LA. According to them he doesn't want it public right now. TIFWIW.

I took a look over there and one of the posters confirmed the rumor. He said that he wouldn't tell who committed to protect his source. Just thought I'd let you guys know that the rumor is apparently true.

Yep. Never been an anonymous confirmation of a rumor without names or details that wasn't true.

Well it seems like they believe it's true over there. The only recruit that seems likely to commit to us now would be Mickey Johnson. There may not be any truth to it at all, but I'll keep my eye on it just in case.

It may have no truth to it at all and that's why I say TIFWIW, but the people talking about it seem to be serious and not just making stuff up. But who knows...

Guess I've been out of the loop on Louisiana recruits. Any of you guys have a clue as to whom the LSU boards are referring to? If you know, just type the name. Don't say it out loud so it'll still be a "silent commit"....lol.

If you read the LSPoo thread, it seems that a couple of people ran w/ the idea that there was a silent commit, but a few of them were simply stating that Mickey Johnson 'committed' to going to some camp... but it all got out of hand. Also, MJ isn't originally from LA and didn't grow up a LSU fan so that connection isn't there like it is for most LA recruits. Obviously, I don't have any inside info, but thats how the thread read-out to me.
