Bama has signatures from the #1 player in Texas, #1 player in California and the #1 player in Florida.

Roll Tide.
But it's a weird day when we get that but none of the top 10 in Alabama which includes three 5 stars according to 247. Barn gets two of the five stars and six more in the top 10; Ohio St. and Oregon get the other two. You would at least like to see Bama get a couple of those. I always liked getting Alabama guys since they seem to know the history better and perhaps care a little more, something they can pass on to the rest of the team. We're going to have very little of that moving forward. A bunch of talented, out of state guys with no real ties to the state or school. Definitely not like the old days.

I just can't with this kind of post anymore.
We have a better class than them, we will get guys who can play and we won't break the bank to do it, no matter their home state.

The biggest former player gumps i can think of are from Michigan and Kentucky

Got two Virginia hams but crying you don't have any bread.

Dude, I don't live on here and read every thread and post. Sorry if I offended you. I was just making an observation. Is it bad to want really talented kids raised in Alabama to play for the University? But that romantic idea of having folks playing with pride for the home school is dead and gone I suppose.

I agree long term this is an issue. This season, I'm good with not getting the one's we missed on.

It is not about pride these days, but about NIL. Yellawood is willing to pay more money and local kids are going for it.
It did not start this year. We’ve lost several top 10 Alabama recruits to Auburn (Thompson, Riddick) last year as well.

But how can you argue with this? Ultimately its bout the Jimmy and Joe's and when we're pulling the #1 recruit in states like California, Texas and Florida, we really don't have problems.
