I honestly never thought I’d see it in my lifetime. (42) I remember the 04 Elite 8 run so fondly. Oats is truly taking this program to unseen heights.

What a nice couple of wins the last 2 games. So many guys with huge performances. Nelson against UNC really just carried us the 2nd half and then Pringle, Sears and Stevenson with huge games yesterday. Who is glad Pringle is still on the team? I saw lots of comments during the year that he should be gone.

Listening to all the talking heads, I don't even know why we are showing up to play the game. According to them, we are going to get blown out.

I’m traditionally an optimist, but this is a huge mountain to climb. Hurley has perfected thug/whine basketball. And he has assembled a crazy big challenge

I’m not going in thinking we will win. Or even that we can. I’m going to watch these fellas bust their butts and watch this beautiful offense one more time.

And then maybe they can surprise me. But I don’t want to walk away from this game feeling disappointed. I see this as Bama v Florida 2008. It’s not our year, but we will prove we belong.

Man, I read this post twice yesterday then when @TiderJack quoted it, I read it again and I kept trying to remember how our basketball team did in 2008. It finally hit me that your were talking about football. I guess I'm just old, tired, blonde, or all of the above.

Maybe I’m wrong but I actually read that original comment as a tongue-planted-in-cheek. As in, having fun with the fact that we made it to the final 4 and “have” to play another #1 seed, as if that was a scheduling issue.
