Anyone a fan? 3:10 to Yuma, Get Shorty, Jackie Brown, Rum Punch, Out of Sight and many other great books and movies. Dude was 87 years old and still wrote every day. He did it longhand on notepads that he then transferred to paper on an electric typewriter.

He was a great one. His characters' simple and direct dialogue masked complex personalities that captured the reader's interest and intellect. If you are not into reading, watch a few episodes of "Justified" and get a taste of Elmore Leonard. (Justified is based on Leonard's "Fire in the Hole.")
