Scroll down to where he talks about Alabama. The people at ESPN just want us to fail because they believed that we would never sign a big coach and now that we have they just want him to fail. I dont think we are going to get "blown out" by FSU or that we will lose all three of those games. Does anyone know what this guy's ties to the big east are? He picked WVU to make it to the title, USF to beat auburn, and two big East teams to make it to the BCS. I think the big east peaked last year....rutgers wont be sneaking up on anyone and i believe Louisville will take a step back with their new coach. However with their pillow soft schedules i suppose they could all be undefeated until they play each other again.

Mark Schlabach

That's the author of the article. Don't worry I will email him October 1 and then again the day after the BCS National Championship game. Then we will see how confident he is about his predictions.

ESPN has not stated this but the Day Alabama Hired Saban, ESPN did everything they could do to keep up with the huge amount of email sent by Alabama fans. ESPN will be bitter for years to come. ESPN is much like the NZAA they have made themselves look bad and the Alabama fans have called them down for it. Schlabach graduated from the University of Georgia!! He is to the point if he was on fire no SEC fan would pee on him. No one can be that dense = slow to learn or understood. That would mean the Big 10, Pac 10, ACC, and the Big 12 all fall under the Little wantabe east. :BigA:

I believe there is a lot of sarcasm in the dude because of this...

"""""""9. Jimmy Clausen won't win the Heisman Trophy (this year, anyway): The freshman quarterback will start the Fighting Irish's opener against Georgia Tech. After Clausen throws for 300 yards and two touchdowns against the Yellow Jackets, new Notre Dame quarterbacks coach Ron Powlus will predict that his protege will win a pair of Heisman Trophies before he's done. """""""""""

Clausen throwing for 300 yards in his first game?? Yea right...

Just emailed mr Schlabach and offered to bet him $1000 that Alabama will not lose these three games. He actually replied, but wasn't interested in putting his money where his mouth was.

its not like ESPN has any impact on the games...they are in the entertainment business and their opinions are for entertainment. I have lost zero sleep worrying about what the talking heads at ESPN think of the Capstone. Ever since Corso back in '92 would say "Alabama is the worst 3-0, 4-0, 5-0...11-0 team in American" I knew then they were just up there to run their mouths.

Arkansas, UGA and FSU will definitely make for a tough month but with the turmoil Arkansas and their losses on the OL we've got a good chance of beating them at home. UGA looked like world beaters in the Peach Bowl so that's going to be a tough game at home. The thing that gets under my skin is the fact that he expects us to lose big to FSU. Granted this is essentially a home game for them (MM should have pushed for an ATL or NO game if he wanted a neutral site) but they haven't exactly beaten anyone badly recently. I'm not sure why I should believe that the 1999 FSU will suddenly show up when we play.

i love how he says stuff like "notre dame will be much better than i initially expected"....as if he is so all knowing that he can even point out his future mistakes and correct them in the present before they actually happen.

Eh just take what this guy says with a grain of salt. He is after all a UGA grad so he should naturally be an UGA, SEC homer. Some of the stuff he writes about Notre Dame is terribly amusing, but along the same lines I think he has an inferiority complex about us like the rest of the conference. Oh well....

ok SOMEONE has to print this out and keep it locked up...i want to see how much o0f this ACTUALLY happens...seriously he says take it to the bank... wow gotta love espn columnists

This guy is just anti-BAMA. I think this guy's crystal ball is fogged up from whatever he's smoking.

With due respect to all who post on here, why do ya'll even read that stuff? I never go to the ESPN website or watch ESPN unless it is during football season or to watch a golf tournament. By now everyone knows their bias against Alabama and it seems that your stress level would be less if you just boycotted their sites. :conf3:
