ESPN to televise Alabama's dedication game of the remodeled Coleman Coliseum
The University of Alabama's formal dedication of the remodeled Coleman Coliseum will be shown to a national television audience.

ESPN will televise the Alabama-Notre Dame men's basketball game, scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff on Dec. 7 in Tuscaloosa, Notre Dame's athletics department announced. A $28 million makeover of the coliseum will be dedicated that night, UA Athletics Director Mal Moore said.

The dedication game will "be exciting for Notre Dame, for us, for everybody," Moore said.

Crimson Tide's basketball team to receive national TV exposure
The University of Alabama basketball team will play at least seven games on national televi sion this season, including the rededication of Coleman Coliseum against Notre Dame on Dec. 7, as the Crimson Tide aims for a fifth consecutive NCAA tournament berth.

Alabama on Saturday released its 2005-06 schedule, which opens with a Preseason NIT game at home on Nov. 15 against Miami of Ohio.

Tough scheduling has become a trademark for eighth-year coach Mark Gottfried during the Tide's run of NCAA bids. This season is no different with games against North Carolina State at Coleman on Dec. 22, and road dates at Temple (Dec. 10) and Oklahoma (Dec. 31).
