NCAA football recruit Ronald Powell, a future Florida Gator, is now rated as the nation's top prospect - ESPN
Gators continue gaining

Florida, which has the nation's top-ranked recruiting class, has two of the top 3 prospects and five of the top 15 nationally committed. Also, all four of the versatile movers (Powell, Easley, Elam, Floyd) are committed to the Gators.

There is talk that this could be the best recruiting class ever assembled. Those numbers certainly would support that argument.

Apparently Coach Meyer will be back coaching this fall. He will have a much lighter schedule after Feb 3rd until fall camp. In the interim, I suspect he will get a heart valve replacement and rehab from that.

Doesn't sound all that promising. I too think he'll be back this fall, but what if he has another episode prior to the season and quits (rightfully so). Or what if the stress of the season gets to him and he falls ill again? I guess these kids aren't thinking it through, but they're gonna cry that he was a liar, but they were too blind to realize the possibilities from this point. There is something legitimately wrong with Coach Meyer, and if he had to be convinced to stay to this point...you never know when something that may change that again.

Exactly!
CUM is at UF for the time being in name only. He is just fooling himself if he doesn't back off. The job will finish him if he doesnt step down. His health and family should be worth more to him than a head coaching position. He already made the announcement that he was retiring but the UF PTB must have convinced him to SAY he was staying so they could hold the incoming class together. (Look at what is happening at TN). After the class is secured and enrolled look for CUM to step down. There is enough talent at UF to make sure there will be a painless transition to a new head coach. Even a decent HC could win at UF with the talent in place they have now.

Good bye coach Meyer, we enjoyed beating your best this year in the SECCG.

ROLL TIDE!!
