Extra Creamy Crock Pot Mac & Cheese

2 cups uncooked macaroni noodles
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
3 cups grated, mild cheddar cheese
1 cup grated gruyere cheese

1. Boil macaroni according to package directions, but make them VERY al dente (about 5 mins boiling is fine). Drain and rinse under cold water.

2. Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 3 hours, stirring once or twice only.

3. Serve hot.

If you double this recipe for a larger gathering, cook on high for 2 1/2 hours, stirring at the 1 and 2 hour marks. I will tell you this is a simple, and incredibly yummy way to make macaroni and cheese. My kids (picky teenagers) absolutely love it and all of their friends request it when they are coming over for supper.
