I thought that waving four fingers at the Alabama section after the last Iron Bowl was childish. The "fear the thumb" t-shirt takes that to a new level.
I can't imagine Bear Bryant (or any coach with an ounce of class) waving his fingers at a defeated opponent, nor wearing such a t-shirt, nor cackling about a future win in such a manner.

While I can't say I like what Tubbs does, the only brightspot is that it makes the rivalry more heated. While I know that Shula wouldn't do anything like that after we start whipping them again, I know that our fans will let him have it. Which will make it that much sweeter when we spank him back to reality.
