Final recruiting push shaping up

In a two-day span, Alabama added both a talented defensive end (Glenn Harbin) and a cornerback that has the talent to perhaps start from the first day of fall camp (Alonzo Lawrence) – and the final recruiting weekend wasn’t even under way yet.
Alabama has 27 verbal commitments as of Feb. 1, 28 if you count prep school re-sign Kerry Murphy. Even if Alabama stopped recruiting at this point, the 2007-08 incoming class looks to be the best at Alabama since 1991. If Alabama were to grab Julio Jones, Jerrell Harris and Marcel Dareus, it might be the best class on record since such things were tracked.
There are still as many as eight slots open, and Alabama is expected to take a minimum of at least four more players. Here’s a quick look at some of the possibilities.
