Barn defense allowed 70 completions going into the game and that was the most in the SEC.

Averaging seven completions per game allowed is the worst in the conference. Times have changed.

No interceptions for 3 years. It’s crazy how offenses changed from pro set “passing” attacks In the 1960’s ( Scott Hunter averaged 220 yds/game passing in 1969) to triple option rushing attacks in the 70’s ( SEC leading passers averaged less than 7 completions/game and one QB averaged more than 100 yards /game at 109 In 1975).

Good enough for me! Shoulda been nicknamed "The Punisher".
Can’t help but think about Johnny Davis Punishing Ohio St in the 1978 (77 season) Sugar Bowl. I knew he Carried Bama to a national title that day, only to be disappointed .
The first option of the Wishbone is the fullback dive. Run it until they stop it, it opens up the pitch . Ohio State never stopped it.
