Question: Flip the “who’s leaving” question: Who will take advantage of the 2020 eligibility rule?

You know with the 2020 Covid rule this is going to be an ongoing question for the next 3 years. Which of the players that would have normally exhausted their eligibility decides to return. Still would love to see Owen return. Maybe Josh McMillon wants to go to law school?

7 years he could get a doctorate at this point. Dr. McMillon.

That is a heck of an LB group, but it's pretty hard to beat 2016. Foster and SDH inside, with Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson outside, with R Evans backing up inside and getting reps outside and Christian Miller playing a big role as a rush specialist.
Great point!
Foster was a predator. It makes me sad to see what happened to him just as soon as he left school. He seemed to be a smart kid too, he just had issues.
I sincerely believe that if he had his head on straight he would have been THE best LB in the NFL.

Sorry, but I do not put Dale in a class with Payne or Williams, but I hope to be proven wrong. Again, maybe he is only assigned to occupy blockers. I don't know but he seems to lack penetration up the middle.
Smith impresses me more.
At no point did I compare any of them. I just commented that we have a couple pretty good guys after Barmore's departure, so no apology necessary.

Injuries aside, our defense could be the very best in the NCAA.

Offense had kinda worn down OSU's D per Coach Day. 2nd half was rough on them. BRob went in and was a load and probably was quicker than film made him look. Big guys sometimes have deceptive speed. He does.
There was a time during the 2nd half that OSU's LBs were chasing our receivers and espn cameras came in close on them. One could see in their faces that they were getting a little tired. The first half was rough on their drop backs. Not sure how much rotation was happening. I actually think that Bama was at an advantage by playing in a 13th game.

Agreed - B Rob is also really fast at hitting the hole and/or cutting back into the gap. He's got great vision for making those quick cuts. Najee is more apt to try to keep bouncing outside, so if the LBs are used to chasing Najee outside, and B Rob is cutting back under them it puts a lot of extra pressure on them especially later in the game.

With Owens back we might just be setting ourselves up for another serious title run. It’s possible Kendall Randolph could come back and he has a ton of experience as well. Add that to the experienced defense and that’s a recipe for success.

Any time someone brings up that defense, I cry. That defense deserved that championship.

This is big...you cannot make up for experience and talent, especially at center.
Agree - and he did pretty well down the stretch this year. It's sometimes hard to put into context that someone might only be second team at Alabama ONLY because they are behind the top player in the US at that position. Owens would have been starting at a LOT of programs so it's great he's taking this opportunity to come back and prove what he can do.
