Vacating midseason or later? That would be a major deal with the current NCAA administration and their unpredictably in delving out (& even recanting-PSU) punishments. This appears to be cut and dried and I would have no issue with handling quickly.PEDs = performance enhancing drugs

I thought they only did that if he played in games where it was known by the institution and not reported just yet.PEDs = performance enhancing drugs

Thanks for the info guys, still sound like a vague, ambiguous all encompassing category, during a hangover, Alka Seltzer falls into that.ped = performance enhancing drugs
i guess its a pretty big category of things that fall under that description
Just hearing stuff floating around, lots of chatter, no way to tell yet.How serious is this talk about vacating wins?
Over the counter? Hard to believe there are over the counter items available that would rise to this level. But then I didn't know what PED stood for until many of you explained!Derek Tyson @DerekTysonESPN 2m2 minutes ago
SOURCE: Will Grier took something over the counter that he did not get approved from Florida trainers.
Just a guess, but I bet Sudafed would be considered a PED due to the pseudoephedrine. Could be that innocuous, or it could be steroids.Over the counter? Hard to believe there are over the county items available that would rise to this level. But then I didn't know what PED stood for until many of you explained!
iirc, a lot of that stuff they sell at gnc (assuming that store is still around) would count as pedOver the counter? Hard to believe there are over the counter items available that would rise to this level. But then I didn't know what PED stood for until many of you explained!
Does it affect Ole Miss when it comes to Win/Loss column.... if vacated?Just hearing stuff floating around, lots of chatter, no way to tell yet.
I think vacating wins is stupid - it doesn't give the team you beat a W, it just takes away the W in your column.
No..Does it affect Ole Miss when it comes to Win/Loss column.... if vacated?
Nope.Does it affect Ole Miss when it comes to Win/Loss column.... if vacated?
we lost a player for a season a decade ago for exactly this, I recall it being Mark Anderson but i'm not certain. Went to GNC and got something that had ephedrine in it and lost a yearOver the counter? Hard to believe there are over the counter items available that would rise to this level. Say what!?PEDs = performance enhancing drugs

I agree. If it is something like this, then it should be dropped by the NCAA or at least won on appeal. It could potentially be another example of them showing their inability to enforce their rules effectively. So, If that's the case, I would hope Will Grier and Gators would appeal the decisions.... This is stupid.
Grier tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs, a source said. The positive test carries an automatic one-year suspension from the NCAA.
