In all fairness, his team has continued to play hard for him but the injuries and inexperience in key positions has taken its toll. Don't know what the buyout is but also don't know who they could reach out to in order to make a great leap forward. I would like to see him succeed since I spent my woeful freshman year in Gainesville before dropping out and later making my way to Livingston and then UA, so a minor softspot for the Gators.

I am surprised but good for them. If giventime he can have them moving in the right direction with a healthy QB next year.

Everything I've heard tells me his players adore him and will run through a brick wall for him.

I assume they'll get drug by texas, but if he can pick up a win between Ole Miss and LSU (both at home) and beat their rival to end the season 6-6, with this schedule and the amount of injuries they've had to deal with, that's a solid season. I fully expected a losing season, and that was before the two starting QBs went down.

Also keep in mind that if Napier is fired, there's a nearly 100% chance Stricklin (the AD) is fired, too. Add to that they have an interim University President right now and it's unlikely anyone gets canned...

My question on Napier is- why all the injuries? This hasn’t just been a problem this year. It has been every single year that he has been there. It seems like every year, injuries are an excuse for why Florida didn’t beat X team or had an underwhelming season. So, is there an issue with the conditioning program? Practices? I don’t think it’s just luck.

IMHO, I think this is a good move. Seriously.

Bazza, what are your thoughts?
Last few games I admit have been very encouraging. Win or lose, our guys are playing their tails off!

Lot of younger players on the field too.

Financially speaking I guess this is the best decision for now. See what happens after the season ends. If we go to a bowl game - and win - game changer.

Lose to FSU and no bowl game and he's gone.
