LOL, Jack. Reminds me of some guys I knew in high school, hanging out at the local McDonald's we used to hang at, sitting on the hoods of their cars, while in their 30's!
Sounds like an ex-basketball buddy of mine. Probably what he still does now in his fourties. It's because the 17-22 year old girls are the only ones that might believe his BS lines.

The problem with the Cocaine is that the quality control measures taken in the manufacturing facilities as well as the certification of the chemist in charge of production are difficult to ascertain.
Well until the FDA gets invovled you just kinda' have to take your chances. You don't want to be the "is it any good?" guy especially when offered a freebie...

"You wanna' do a bump?"-first guy

"Is it any good?"-that guy

"Nah you'd friggin' hate it"-first guy walks off

That's what I'm sayin'. If that barefoot guy that can't read OR write and has NEVER been down off the mountain because his entire family has been associated with the FARC for the past 30 years ever lost the 1/2 plastic milk jug he cut in half five years ago to measure the sulfuric acid with his entire operation would come to a grinding halt.

Playing devil's advocate here... if I'm going to be sitting in the back of a vehicle doing some yaho with 2 other guys sitting in the front of the same vehicle then those 2 other guys better be watching for someone to walk up on said vehicle.

You're working from a premise that requires the reader to assume the people involved were of above-average intelligence

1. Nobody over 21 with above-average intelligence does blow
2. VERY few people with above-average intelligence are up and out past 2am on a WEDNESDAY
3. Nobody with above-average intelligence has the opportunity to leave Arkansas and then WILLINGLY GOES BACK.

That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age.

I don't care what happens to him. If he wants to waste his life and money on "NOSE CANDY", let him. I just can't understand these guys. All they have to do is work about half the year and make millions playing a game. We all do stupid things but MJ done a real stupid thing.

ANYBODY BUT AUBURN!!!

With the money the athletes make some turn to drugs or even sale it. I am at a complete loss for words. Lawrence Taylor, Dexter Manley, Ricky Williams, and on and on and on.

The average NFL player made $1.1 million in 2007. NFL.com. Truly sad that players even think to mess with drugs. The average Joe works hard and just cannot understand this kind of stupidity. Matt wise up before its too late. I really did enjoy watching Jones play. Kind of a freak with his size and speed. :conf2:

Matt Jones had all the tools (athletically and personally) to be a star in Jacksonville. Being a good 'ol boy, liking to fish, etc. really endured him to the Jacksonville faithful.

Instead, he showed up in Jacksonville being lazy and having a lackadaisical attitude, poor work ethic and did diddly squat on the field. In short order he became one of the least favorite players in Jacksonville. And that is no one's fault but his own.

Good riddance!
I agree 100%. 4.3 in the forty never materialized on the field. MJ was always running step for step with the db's, no seperation just outjumping/reaching the defenders. Dropped passes, yada yada yada Matt Jones took the money and ran. No drive no effort, lazy.

Years ago, one busted Hollywood actor said "Cocaine is God's way of letting you know you're making too much money." 'Nuff said...

Matt Jones Career Stats

First round picks aren't supposed to have 41 receptions in a season be their career high. Not to mention, last year, he was 6th on the team in receptions! For a 6'6" guy who ran a blazing 40 at the combine, this is not what was expected.
Just my opinion of course, but Matt Jones never should have been a 1st round draft choice at a position he'd never played...especially in the NFL! That wasn' this fault it was Jacksonville's fault.

Also, others can make up big stats with regard to Gerard but if was so good he wouldn't have been cut!

Matt Jones is a fine receiver for a guy who was never a freakin' receiver and all the speed in the world isn't going to change the fact that he's too big (heavy, not tall) to be considered a "speedy" receiver in the NFL. 4.4 guys in the NFL are a dime a dozen; especially at CB, so his speed isn't as effective as it would have been at QB.

Thanks. I've seen it once or twice and know the premise but I'm not a regular viewer. As for Unknown, I'm looking forward to his show later this month in B'ham.

And to keep this post on topic as well..."Chi Chi get the yaho!"

I know...the only QB that I can think of who had a somewhat successful transition is Randel El. And that was more as a kick returner than a WR. Randel El had some decent years but he definitely wasn't a first round talent. You can change positions in college, but the NFL it is probably too late. It may be worth a chance to take a flyer on these guys to see if you are getting a Randel El, but it should definitely be a later round pick.

Edit: I forgot about Hines Ward and he was pretty good. But still, the numbers are against it.

Sorry, I wasn't clear but BigEasyTider said this:

In fact, David Garrard had the best season last year of any NFL QB not named Brady or Manning (Peyton, that is), and Jones was still terrible. He barely averaged six yards per catch, finished 67th in DVOA, and was the fourth receiver on a team that doesn't have any quality receivers to begin with.
And that's what I was referring too. He was trying to make Gerrard look like a great QB and frankly that was FAR from the truth.

Alan, I believe you've been told countless times to disagree without being disagreeable.
