Link: Former Tide Player Charles Bediako Sues NCAA (Injunction) to Return to Bama

Next season go get Josh Primo, JD Davison, and whoever else you want. If the NCAA is going to make a mockery of college athletics then join the fun. What has worked doesn't work anymore so until something changes do whatever you want to do to be successful.
PLEASE give me Josh Primo back. We didn't see nearly enough of him.

I hate the hypocritical media and all the talking heads covering this for all the reasons you guys have mentioned. Not an ounce of difference between this and the European Pros. None of them cared about those guys playing at multiple schools this season. And the NCAA wants to talk about taking time away from high school kids when Carson Beck and Indianas entire roster is 23 to 24 years old. Give me a break.

The NCAA is trying block Bediako because, unlike the other G-League players that have been allowed to reenter CBB, he did not withdraw from the draft and signed what they call a “two-way” contract, which is nothing more than an NBA loophole which allows the NBA team that owns the G League team to call them up without counting them against the roster. The court has seen through this distinction without a difference and said that he should be treated just like the other G League players that never stepped foot on an NBA court and have been allowed to return to CBB.

The NCAA created this mess, and they're going to have to clean it up. Much like CNS asking if this is what we want college football to be (speaking to favorable rule interpretations for the offense in football), CNO is essentially doing the same thing in basketball. I wonder if the backlash would be the same if CNO was doing this at Duke, UNC, or some other basketball blueblood.
The NCAA can claim what they want, but they wanted European pros in CBB because it expanded their footprint overseas. In 2024, the NCAA raked in 900 million from the Big Dance... out of a reported 1.3 billion dollar revenue. When you let European pros play college basketball, you bring more interest to your product and that 900 million dollar figure increases. American professionals who played in CBB don't bring nearly the same incentive to the table. They can pontificate as much as they want about Bediako, but the reason they don't back him has nothing to do with "taking spots away from HS'ers." It has everything to do with the bottom line.

Mark Pope yapping about this and throwing shade saying the NCAA tourney selection cmte should take note and maybe not count games where a guy like Bediako participated. Seems that this would violate the TRO by the judge? I don't like that we're not just seeing true amateurs and/or guys who didn't leave for NBA / draft / Europe. But the NCAA, in its infinite idiocy, alllowed Euro guys in so there's no logic or justification for not allowing G-league only guys back in.

Currently on his roster, he has a 6'11" 225 player from Croacia who played two years in the Adriatic League - a TOP-TIER basketball league. In late December, it was reported that UK expressed interest in Trentyn Flowers, who is currently on a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls. They also have expressed interest in Dink Pate - a current G League player. Idiotic hypocrites like Pope need to realize no one believes their "holier than thou" rhetoric and shut their pieholes.

But he’s Canadian…that’s a different country too.

Norlander is usually the straight-man, and Parrish traditionally is more of the Drama Queen -- BUT -- these are purists, and this hits him hard!
Sadly if you want "pure" in today's sports climate your best bet is going to the YMCA and watching a bunch of locals play basketball during lunch or going to an elementary school and watching a pickup football game during recess.
