Former Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, wife dead in apparent murder-suicide, police say

Former Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax shot and killed his wife and then turned the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide in their home in Annandale, Virginia, police said Thursday.

Said on the news he had just been served divorce papers. Tidewater, what do you know about him?

Ralph Northam's Lt Gov. Seen as a rising star at one point.
No indication such a thing was possible, except that Spanberger did not seek him to run as Lt Gov again, and Fairfax might know the lay of the land better than her and maybe could have hlped her, but that may be reading too much into things.

It's just sad. Divorce is always difficult.
Mrs. Fairfax it seems, should have moved out and gotten a Restraining Order before the papers were served. I hate it for everybody concerned.

The worst part of this is their children were in the home when this happened. One was the 911 caller.....


According to Police Chief Kevin Davis, both children were inside the house at the time of the incident.

“One of the children was the 911 caller,” Davis said, noting that the account provided has been corroborated by interior surveillance footage.
