Friday Games We (somewhat) Care About: Egg Bowl, etc.

Would a Bama loss to UGA in Atlanta, rendering them a 3 loss team like Texas, keep them out of the playoff? Given this bias committee, this Texas win may jump them ahead of Bama in the final poll

This committee has shown ZERO logic as to how they put teams in what position so your guess is as good as anyones

Despite the fact that the committee historically has not punished teams for playing the extra championship game, I would be very afraid of that. And if they were going to do it to anyone, you know they would stick it to BAMA.

It's pretty clear that logic, strength of schedule...hell, even reality means nothing to this committee.

I think the committee believes losing to FSU is equal to 2 losses. They already perceive Alabama as 3 loss team. I know that sounds crazy but there is a strong anti-bias for Alabama knowing we are a significant disruptor to the CFP. We are headed toward an all-sec NC game.

1) Texas ain’t sniffing the playoffs

2) We beat Auburn we are a near lock unless the committee and ESPN want to chance a sec walkout.

3) barring some utter craziness in the ACC and big XII there is very little movement possibilities like last year

Not sure but I guess margin of loss might play into it. I'm glad we have that regular season win over UGA because that might be the only thing to save us in your scenario.

You better believe it. The idiot CFP chair drooled all over A&M for having to come back from a 4 TD deficit to beat South Carolina at home while he almost simultaneously hated on Alabama for coming back from 8 to win against the same team ON THE ROAD - because, you know, rushing yards and all. They wouldn’t hesitate to screw us over for losing the SECCG after giving weak sister SMU an absolute pass on the same situation.

1st......beat Auburn
2nd.....beat Georgia again

If we can do the 1st, but not the 2nd......we will not be in the playoff.

He just claimed UTx should be in because they play in the SEC, beat the #3 team in the country, and only lost to OSU by 7. He conveniently left out the loss to a horrible Florida team and getting blown out by UGA.

They don’t really want to compare resumes with Bama.

And listening to McElroy and his co-commentator......that 25 point loss to Georgia looked worse than it really was because it was 14-10, but Kirby converted a couple 4th downs and an onside kick....hahahahahahahaha

Can we stop with pretending the committee has a long track record that guides us? This is Year TWO of a 12-team playoff.

Now…..the claims made sound exactly the same as the insanity of the 4-team, l agree.
