The ladies are not looking good right now against ranked teams. Starting to think we are not as good as we thought we would be, hate to say that but we are 1-5 against ranked opponents. Will be starting conference play next weekend need to figure it out soon

Right now we don't seem to be able to consistently hit any good pitching. We scatter a few hits around but can't put anything together. Last night, in the bottom of the sixth, we had first and second, 1 out, and then struck out twice to end the inning. Kilfoyl pitched a great game, but didn't get much help. Right now we look like a good team, but not good enough to make it to OKC.

I wouldn’t worry that much right now. Until we start conference play we really won’t know what we got with so many freshmen and 1st year players. I think when we play Texas then we will know.

Yelp this team is developing a real bad habit of blowing games late.Way to many errors are made,questionable pitching moves which I place directly on the staff, for most of that.and the offense cant hit good pitching. That is a recipe for disaster when conference play starts.If it continues we might be playing our way out of post season. We cant beat good teams right now with the exception of the Washington game and that win is turning out to look more like a fluke right now.

We could easily be 4-3 against Top 10 teams, and we have an entirely different outlook right now. Our problem is we have a very young team playing a murderous schedule out the gate, and our ace pitcher was shut down in the fall because she pitched all summer. So we need time to come around.

Aside from Texas for 2 games, LSU for 3, and maybe Auburn and Missouri (all 4 series at home), we have an incredibly easy schedule going. Most of the SEC is either playing cupcakes like we did last year, or getting hammered like we have been early on. We have a better than good chance at taking the season championship again this year.
