Perhaps those who are triggered by Gary Danielson's (usually) correct analyses would prefer to have this guy in the booth for SEC games.

I just counted. After "Bond, Isaiah Bond," caught the TD, Gary shut his yap for 21 glorious seconds.I wished we had booth cams to see his and Brad's reaction after the play...
What’s the matter, can’t remember the guy’s name?In the 2021 Iron Bowl, Gary said a player hurt "the same left ankle".....as opposed to, you know, his other left ankle.......
He was desperately checking the replays to see if he might have been out of bounds, or if the ball hit the ground, or if maybe we had 14 players on the field…I just counted. After "Bond, Isaiah Bond," caught the TD, Gary shut his yap for 21 glorious seconds.
Nessler had a great reaction at leastHe was desperately checking the replays to see if he might have been out of bounds, or if the ball hit the ground, or if maybe we had 14 players on the field…
I don’t remember. What was it?Nessler had a great reaction at least
“IT’S CAUGHT!â€ÂI don’t remember. What was it?
If I were speaking live to an audience, I would be saying things like this all the time. The thought process would start out as 'same ankle' then proceed to want to include more detail like 'left ankle' but the words are already coming, so you get an awkward phrasing. The meaning is clear enough, and nothing is gained by spending time to think of the perfect phrasing. Now that I think on it some more, it is a pretty concise way to express a specific reinjury. In the 2021 Iron Bowl, Gary said a player hurt "the same left ankle".....as opposed to, you know, his other left ankle.......

So which is it?
Nessler's a good one. When he was teamed with Blackledge they were my fav crew.Nessler had a great reaction at least
Mine, too.Nessler's a good one. When he was teamed with Blackledge they were my fav crew.
Yes, I always made it a point to see Todd's Taste of the Town.Mine, too.
I liked Blackledge's Taste of the Town at halftime. But I think a case of the Verne's is catching up with Nessler. He's missing where the plays stop, and having to correct himself a lot more often now. At least he's not butchering player names, though.
I remain convinced that having to pronounce 'Tua Tagovailoa' was a major factor in Verne's decision to retire the football booth and just stick to golf.
In the game this past weekend, he asked if one of our players stepped out of bounds. He was 5 yards from the sideline. In the 2021 Iron Bowl, Gary said a player hurt "the same left ankle".....as opposed to, you know, his other left ankle.......
The reason he asked that was because the defense gave up on him, which would have been justified if he had run out of bounds. He was searching for a reason for such an egregious miscue, but there was none other than the defender blew his assignment. In the game this past weekend, he asked if one of our players stepped out of bounds. Yeah, that seems to be the biggest issue (to me at least) with Gary. He latches onto a few things early in a game and just builds his entire commentary around it, to the point of OCD-ish, repeating it like Raymond in Rainman. Lol
I just counted. After "Bond, Isaiah Bond," caught the TD, Gary shut his yap for 21 glorious seconds.
He was probably thinking, "Again? Darn it. My team never wins."Yeah, Nessler was actually excited. I think he yelled out "he caught it!!", but not a sound from Gary.
