I hate that the best athletes in the world have to play a game on a field that is totally different than most of the season.
they should play all divisional games in domes are warm weather fields.
It’s really no different than playing in rain. And as we saw in Tampa the last two times we went it can make a field even more unplayable.
However, nearly all northern stadiums in the NFL have state of the art fields that are specifically designed to keep the surface playable. Yes places like Foxboro and Orchard can be miserably with cold swirling win, but I would much prefer that over having to play in Tampa or Miami in a January downpour. I’ve seen far and away more non snow playoff games up north than I’ve seen horrible conditions in the South during the regular season.
Side note: the first SEC championships in Birmingham quite possibly may have been some of the worst postseason conditions in the last 40 years. It was a huge reason why they moved to the dome.
