As earlier stated, the way Carter's situation was handled is a disgrace.

It's quite apparent that the university and local authorities circled the wagons to protect the UGA brand.

It's disgusting.

And I’ll go back to the body cam footage of the Athens police officer questioning Carter when they got him back to the scene. No one checked the status of his driver’s license? When Carter denied damage to his vehicle, no one escorted him over to the vehicle to check? No one offered any follow up questions of Carter that evening when it was absolutely clear that Carter’s statements didn’t “line up” with what was evident at the scene? That questioning by the officer was basically “Hey Jalen, we’re big fans of you and UGA football. Nah, you’re good. You just run along now”.

When young folks get to do what they want to all the time without repercussions. Who learns a lesson? Which is why I’m against Tony Mitchell being reinstated on Alabama’s football team. I read where Kirby has made them go through educational classes and even had the police department come in and speak with them in the recent months. Obviously this has fallen short.

There are only a few options I see

1) remember the titans style practices
2) GPS monitors on vehicles of players who have had a speeding ticket or worse
3) any driving offense resulting in an arrest results in being kicked off the team

outside of that, I'm lost for ideas
