MERS is still alive and well in Saudi Arabia. Just not nearly as viral as SARS-CoV-2.

My point is that neither have been cured, the question you were responding to.
I know - I guess that I am just not sure that we are equipped on TideFans to answer the question. I would bet that many, many things have been cured and we just don't know because it isn't what we do.

But you are right, too. And we may never have a cure for this. But that probably isn't necessary if we find effective treatments.

Looks like something we should use an AI for. Enter all of the data points into a database and let it have a go at it.
AI could be useful here.

I appreciate your post, and I agree to a certain extent. I won’t speak for others but what I have a problem with is our president using this to make him out to be a hero and stoke his already insufferable ego. Trump supporters will repeat this line all the way to the election in November. That is a lie. He’s no American hero he projects himself to be.

These projections are decreasing, and I know you understand this, because of the hard work and research of the real American heroes on the front lines of this in the medical field. In addition many governors have shown the presidential leadership he lacks and he despises them for it. He wants them to be “grateful.” For what exactly?
and these numbers have been reduced by NOTHING the president has done. State, local, and private leaders had to act and the stock market had to crash to get the president's attention.

Couple of interesting tidbits:

This is extremely disturbing. I lost my father to complications from Guillain-Barré syndrome two years ago. He spent his last two months as a quadriplegic at the Athens LTAC facility.

Dad was a strong man but suffered greatly during his last nine months. Multiple trips to Huntsville and Decatur ER’s, rehab facilities and 24 hour in-home care for several months. There were nights he would beg for someone to stop the pain. I can’t fathom someone having to deal with that horrific disease and Covid at the same time, with no family allowed with you. God be with any poor soul that has these concurrently.

I am very sorry for your loss and your father's suffering.
