I stumbled across this on Facebook and thought I’d share it here. That’s Tony Nathan signing his scholarship papers. That’s C.M. Newton in the back left and I think everyone recognizes the other gentleman standing.

His Dad looks like Stanley from The Office...that expression...lol...
I thought Mr. Nathan looked like Joe Morgan.
The picture was on some Dolphins group that popped up in my feed. It said Newton recruited him to play basketball.

That was a great recruiting class. IMO....TJ Yeldon reminded me so much of Tony Nathan in the way he ran. TJ MAY have been a little bigger than Tony. Mr Nathan was a ballplayer and would probably have made a huge splash if he had not played in a Wishbone Offense with 14 other talented Running Backs. Having said that....I am glad he did. Always expected something to happen when I realized he was given the ball.
Probably a little nervous and skeptical sending his kid to Alabama in that time given the racial and political climate.
