Well sexton is good at what he does!!! Also got a nugget that stewart at WEST VIRGINIA will more than likely step down!!! I guess gus will be contacted about this one as well!!!.
Dude, where you been? Stewart steps down next year and the OC that the AD just hired will be the head coach after Stewart leaves. I know there are rumors out there that Stewart might completely step down before next season but Malzahn will not be the coach at WV.

I think Scoretide is on the MONEY with his reply... if it is the BCS thing as you said reb then UM will move on. They want to name a coach soon. Besides, he is no more or less focused if he makes his decision. Do you not think it is on his mind every minute?? This is his livelihood, family and millions of dollars that are affected by this decision. Whether addressed publicly or not , it is weighing on him.
Of course it's on his mind. For all we know, he may already have given them his answer :biggrin2:, but that doesn't mean he has to talk publicly at this time. There's plenty of time for that. Right now, CGM still has a job to do, and doesn't need to put this destraction into the mix. There are still games to be played, and that always comes first.

BTW we might have joined in the same month, but you've been slacking off on your posts, haven't you?

THANKS BAMA REB,
I don't think GOOSE understands that agents call other job's (as far fetched as it may sound) to fill out schools. That was what is being rumored!!! i LEARNED a long time ago take the craziest thng you hear & hold on to it, CAUSE IT COULD FIND LEGS!!!!!!

I read a lot ,, just don't post much,, I take spurts of posting more but on the whole I don't post unless I feel that I have something to add.

I'm seeing conflicting reports as to whether he's been hired or is simply going to interview.
Yeah Simon Mandel from SI just quoted Washington Post saying that Edsall is interviewing for the Maryland job. Doesn't sound like it is confirmed that he has actually taken the job unless Joe Schad knows more than these other guys.

He usually thinks he does, but most of the time he doesn't. His sources are laughable at times.
Yeah I'm brought back to his reports about Texas definitely going to the Pac-10 back in the summer. I know it looked that way briefly but don't report it like it is gospel until it is a done deal. Unfortunately it makes you wonder about his sources regarding the PFP scheme. Let's hope they're better than his normal ones.

spoke with my buddy in maryland last night after bama's big win, He told me that it would not be pirate (too much baggage) & it would be a suprise, (i was hopeing it was Gus) I get home to find out it hoing to be Randy Edsall, Dang was i a little overjealous (or every how you spell it) But to make matters worse i called and ask him what happen to the Gus bus?. Problem is he would not give them a answer untill after the MNC They wanted one by today and they knew he would not give them that.

I'm starting to wonder if Malzahn actually wants a HC job. 5 years ago he was coaching high school.

Maybe he thinks if he can win a NC that it will open doors for him like Fisher and Muschamp. I wonder what type of school he is holding out for?

Fear. They are scared of the genius that is Malzahn. He loses his offensive line, the highest paid quarterback in the SEC, and his team is on the verge of investigation., yet some on this board think he is unstoppable. I wonder if they struggle against Oregon if he will regret not taking these jobs.

They average exactly 7 more points than we do, with 4 Sr. Offensive linemen, a Heisman winning QB who makes $220,000 a year, and while playing an easier schedule (most of their tough games at home). I guess I just don't get it...

I think he's going to regret not taking a decent HC job right now whether they struggle against Oregon or not. His stock is as high as an OC's can get and a couple of down years for Auburn could make it hard for him to even get interviews. And as you say, Auburn could be headed for a couple of down years regardless of how the pay for play scheme turns out.
