This was about inclusion over merit. In that sense, it was not a snub. That is, until you realize that you were literally chosen to be excluded to favor another, clearly less capable, team. And then, again, you were snubbed. What qualifies as a "snub"? If we had lost only 1 game or none, I'd say it was a "snub". I wanted to get into the playoffs as any "positive" thinking fan would, but at 3 losses I don't consider it a snub. Was i excited we had a chance? Yes! I think beating the teams that we beat (Including the SEC Champ) gave us a great argument. Sometimes you lose arguments and need to move on!
He also went off on SOS…that was his 1st real test as a media guy not to lose his tin horn goose droppings on set. He was not pleased…Nick basically "called out" Bama in his response to the teams taken. He said all the teams left out had control of their destiny multiple times in the season and couldn't "take care of business". He mentioned losing to teams they weren't supposed to and said the committee has the right teams in the playoffs.
Exactly, his point was the SMU shouldn't have been #8 in the first place and they should have been playing the conf title game as if they had to win to get in, which they did not.He also went off on SOS…that was his 1st real test as a media guy not to lose his tin horn goose droppings on set. Yea i thought he handled it well you watch a guy for 20 plus years in the public eye you could see the anger boiling up in him. They were almost prodding him to set him off and he didn't. All he has accomplished i almost felt bad for him. I know he signed up for it but I could imagine me and my reaction when the announcement came I wouldn't have wanted anyone to see me. He was all professional wouldn't expect anything less from the goat.He also went off on SOS…that was his 1st real test as a media guy not to lose his tin horn goose droppings on set. If you remember last year, the committee backed itself in the corner ranking Oregon extremely high during the season and at the end they were a bust.Exactly, his point was the SMU shouldn't have been #8 in the first place and they should have been playing the conf title game as if they had to win to get in, which they did not.
They threw a bone to the ACC because of their whining last year...This was about inclusion over merit. In that sense, it was not a snub. That is, until you realize that you were literally chosen to be excluded to favor another, clearly less capable, team. And then, again, you were snubbed.
yeah, Alabama was snubbed.
When you beat more ranked teams than nearly half the playoff teams combined. What qualifies as a "snub"? If we had lost only 1 game or none, I'd say it was a "snub". I'm not completely sold on Oregon this year either. I mean, they narrowly escaped a Wisconsin team that we mercy kneed. If you remember last year, the committee backed itself in the corner ranking Oregon extremely high during the season and at the end they were a bust.
