I'm so glad to hear the transplant was a success and you are in remission!

Get those vaccines and don't skip any.

Maybe you guys can get a camper trailer of some kind and travel in relative peace and quiet away from the craziness of airports and the like. We have a treasure trove of national parks with stunning beauty to be enjoyed.

My doctor just called me to confirm that I have no myeloma cells anywhere -- blood, bone, or bone marrow. I think he is as excited as I am...Now, if I can just get this shoulder pain under control I will be back to full speed.

Thanks for all the thoughts, prayers and support. I am continually amazed at the bonding we experience through this medium.

I had some vaccines again on Thursday...DTAP, Hepatitis B, RSV, and polio -- inactivated. Whoopee!! I cannot have live virus vaccines for a few more months. But I am on the road to recovery -- and my arm hurt like Hades for 24 hours. No wonder babies cry after getting theirs.

I am doing great...Complete remission expected to last for 5-7 years.

However, my grandson Mac, age 10 ½, had an accident in a 4 wheeler and suffered a compound fracture of his upper right arm --- he is in surgery this am and should go home later. I hate it for him as he was going to pitch on his baseball team...something he had been anticipating. His Dad and Mom are kicking themselves for letting him ride with someone else...they were out in a rural area with other families cooking out, etc. My son really is upset with himself as he came "this close" to not letting him ride on it.

Prayers appreciated...at least he is left-handed.

Surgery went well and he's home...has no idea how long this recovery will take. He thinks he can miss one game be back on Thursday! Ha...I'll let his Dad tell him it's 12 weeks and then 3 more months of PT, etc.

At least he's not a great athlete and is a top student so that will be his focus...thanks for the prayers, etc.

The Revlimid has caused a severe rash reaction through out my body. I was taking prednisone to alleviate it, but oncologist says that is not a good long term solution. So, have stopped both the Revlimid and the prednisone...I should be fine as the Revlimid is more preventative than anything else. Myeloma is a slow moving cancer...
