You win the internet today. :)

That's the website I used to find it. The one I found may not be the final answer though. I looked at playoff games that Mo started and found the series I mentioned. I figured he was the most likely answer. I should also check Gerald Wallace....but I bet this one is going to be the final answer anyway.

I looked at GW and his few trips to playoffs he never played against a Bama player. I even thought of Roy Rogers, but Vancouver was bad the year he was a starter.

Herb had a really good game last night. Made a few buckets and his FTs but played very good defense.

On the broadcast Reggie Miller said he spoke to Herb and told him he reminded him of a great young defensive player he played with, Derrick McKey. Strangely, I didn't hear him say that he also went to Alabama.

I kept waiting on him to mention Alabama too. I was thinking McKey played for Indiana late in his career though.

He went to Indiana after Seattle and finished his career there. He wasn’t “young” when he moved to Indiana.
ETA. He made all defensive second team two years when he was a Pacer

Ok fine, I might have misheard the young part. Sorry.

What you posted was how I remember hearing it too. I only watched parts and pieces, so I didn't realize it was Reggie Miller telling the story or I'd have understood that part better. The way the story flowed, it sounded like he was saying this young guy came in, reminds me of Herb, etc. Miller and McKey were both rookies the same year btw.

Herb is looking like he can have a Rodman role but with a tad more scoring because he has that 3 pointer in his bag of tricks. Who knows if he can develop more? BTW, have you noticed how huge these teams are now? He played center for us and he's the 2 or 3 guard for the Pelicans!?!

Herb was impressive last night. I can see him expanding his game to where he's a 3 point shooter and defensive specialist. Add Kira Lewis and zion williamson coming back form injuries.. this team has the making of a team who can make a deep playoff run next year.

My recollection is that he periodically played 5 when needed, but was also the primary person bringing the ball up during the stretch run. It seemed like he was sort of playing point forward.

Edit: I'm responding to his role at UA, not with the Pelicans.

More of Draymond Green role. He's more fitness and he has bulked up some as well. I wouldnt' be shocked to see him averaging 14 points a game and 7 assists next year.

I'll go back and bold the comment I was responding to. I was responding to the comment that he played center for Bama.
