Last year, didn't UF wear white and OU wore red jerseys? I don't know if that means that we will switch this year but I say we have a good chance of crimson jerseys...

Pretty sure the Gators were #2 in BCS standings before the game last year. OU had been rolling since the Texas loss & Florida jumped from #3 into top two after knocking us off. #1 team wears home jerseys (unless LSU is #1, in which case they'd probably choose to wear whites).

I was curious this morning about the procedure to determine home team and visitor in the BCSCG.
I did a search, even went to CFB - BCS Football - FOX Sports on MSN, and came up empty.

It would seem to me that the higher ranking or higher BCS avg team would have home field privileges. Curious to read other opinions.

If anyone finds the answer, please share?

It seems that some order has been restored in our world. Things are now as they should be.

Bama is SEC Champions, playing for the National Championship!!!

!! Crimson Uniforms !!

I think it is VERY important that Alabama is the home team...

I don't want Alabama to wear the crimson jersey b/c I'm superstitious or something, but I think that the team plays better in them due to the fact that they are easier to see against multi-colored backgrounds and b/c it seems that our players are more comfortable in them...

I don't know why -- but we do not play as well when Alabama wears their white uniforms...

Does anyone have a theory as to why our home jersey helps the team produced better on field results...??

Everyone send e-mails to the athletic department and ask them to please let our team wear crimson jerseys in The National Championship Game!

I'm confused....You don't want us to wear crimson, but we usually play better in crimson? So....you don't want us to play well? ;)

NoOoOo -- I want us to wear Crimson Uniforms, but the reason I want us to wear them is not b/c I'm superstitious, haha

Also:

I did some research and it turns out that Alabama will be the home team for

the 2010 BCS National Championship game in Pasadena!

According to Las Vegas...

What I don't like is the fact that the game starts at 8:00 P.M. EST -- and that correlates to 5:00 P.M. PST

According to Sunrise, Sunset Calendars and Local Time -- on 01/07/10 the sun will set in Los Angeles @ 4:58 P.M. PST

What does this mean...??

It means that the National Championship Game between Alabama & Texas will basically be a night game. I think Greg McElroy is very good quarterback but b/c the game is going to be played at night in an open-air stadium, I think that the quarterback advantage will be pushed even further towards Colt McCoy....

I still think we will win the game b/c of our defense, but unfortunately I think that McElroy may struggle somewhat with pass accuracy due to the fact that the game is being played at night in an open-air stadium...

I hope I'm wrong - I hope McElroy can pick apart the UT secondary, but I am upset that this is going to be a night game...

If our defense shows up, and we do not turn the ball over -- Alabama still wins, (hopefully) by 10-14 points

I hadn't noticed that Bryant-Denny was a Dome now, all that sunshine in there made me think it was an open-air stadium....that is just absurd thinking. Colt McCoy is Colt McCoy....Greg is Greg....Anyway, domes are easier for QB's b/c there is no wind to deal with. This game won't be decided by what kind of stadium it is played in. If you are going to worry about something, worry about the WR Corps they have not the stadium and what time kickoff is. You are acting like we are going to LSU for a night game or something(which we won the last one we were there). I am not saying Greg is a better QB than Colt but one man isn't going to beat us.

The term "night game" does not mean anything, that was not my point...

During a night game in an open-air stadium (even with stadium lights) the visual atmosphere is different when compared to a game that takes place during daylight hours, or a game that takes place in an indoor facility...

Accuracy during a night game, that was the entire point of my previous post...

LSU holds a superstition over night games in Baton Rouge

It is harder to see during a night game, McCoy has more game experience playing at night, therefore he has a distinct advantage over McElroy!

Also: One man can defeat a team (i.e. Tim Tebow last year) and Vince Young against Southern California in 2005

I don't believe in superstition, just common sense

The game will go from sun light into "night." Last time Bama played in that situation, Greg led the team on a game winning drive. Yes I know Texas is better than Auburn. What you are saying doesn't make much sense. And Greg's accuracy during his last true night game was not too bad - remember MSU game? He played pretty darn good then.

I'm not superstitious about what color jersey BAMA wears on game day, but I am superstitious about what BAMA outfit I wear on game day.

I'm sure most TIDE fans have favorite articles of clothing that they believe
brings the TIDE good luck!

I have a shirt that is 13-0. I was not wearing this shirt for the first quarter of the Auburn game. There is no question what I will be wearing on January 7th.

I briefly considered wearing my 1992 National Championship shirt on January 7th (yes, I still have the original) but it smells like a monkey. Also, a man must respect a streak.
