I haven't watched much of them this year. I'll have to check out some of their games this week.

From what I understand their QB Maty Mauk is a gamer and their DL can really rush the passer.

At first glance I think we may have success running the ball and winning upfront with our deep, big-but-fast DL.

What say ya'll?

I am very nervous about the game now after I watched our defense get absolutely shredded by AU last night. I am glad our offense responded in the second half because our defense was being toyed with like a cat with a ball of yarn.

Very well. They will not stack the box after what Coop has done all season. TJ should have a field day if we feed him. And I'm hoping those last few carries will get Henry going. We need DH to be strong for us in the SECCG and the playoffs.

Their defense can rush the passer but as long as Big Cam plays we should be fine. He has done a great job against edge pash rushers this year (Fowler, Garrett, etc).

They have some very good players on offense but they are not very physical at the LOS. We should be able to control the LOS with our front 4 which should give our LB's and secondary the advantage..

Missouri has proven to be a very good team. they have the best front 4 defensively the experts say. they have two great edge rushers. depth could be a factor. their defense does not quit, as evidenced by the arks game. their offense is good but not special. qb, can some plays but not very consistent. of course, with our secondary we will make everybody look good. bama should have the advantage physically, dept ad playmakers on offense.

They don't have to stack the box - their front 7 are as good as any in college football. Their weakness is in their secondary, and I expect Sims to eat them up - if he has time. Sims is almost never sacked (2 on the season?), but he needs to play under control to go through his progressions. They only allow 20 ppg, so their defense is not weak by any stretch.

I also expect Mizzou to double Cooper after his performance last night. That means that your other receivers will be running wide open all night. As long as Sims doesn't try to force the ball into Cooper, you will move the ball and control the clock.

Mizzou's offense isn't very good. I don't see them scoring 20 points in this game - they might not score 10.

Yes, they lost to Indiana, but like most other teams, they've greatly improved as the season progressed. I think we'll get their best game, and we'll think we're playing against the barn again, but in different uniforms.
I think they'll give us all we want and then some. We'll have to once more put it all on the line if we want to again come out victorious.
Iow, don't fool yourselves into thinking it's going to be a walk in the park. That's not going to be the case by any means. It's going to be another battle, and we're going to have to do battle for a full 60 minutes.

They lost to Indiana.....in football

LOL yep...this and at home as well. No worries. All kidding aside this is a team that has gotten a TON better since then but it is no where near the team AU faced last year in the SCG. Should not be an issue for AL but that's why we play the game. You never know.

IIRC, Hansborough, their starting RB, got rolled up in the last minute of the ARK game and appeared to be in a lot of pain. I don't know his status but this could be a key injury if he does not play.

I think it will be a tough game and we will pull it out in the 4th quarter.

He was in a walking boot, but said that it was only precautionary. Ankle injury. Hard to guess how he will look on Saturday.

I think they are the type of team we match up very well against and we are the type of team they don't match up well against. This is one game where we can really get after the passer and not worry about him running for a 70 yard touch down.

I haven't gotten to see much of them either. I think the TV scheduling just had too many SEC games on at the same time many weeks.

They are a good team but definitely inconsistent.

Did they have any key injuries in their losses to Ind and Ga?

Wow everyone is very confident after we let nick Marshall of all people throw for darn near 500 yards on us. I'll say this if we don't knock them out in the first 3 quarters we are in trouble. We should win big on paper but you never can count on us with scores.
