Bo Jackson would be the only one that comes to mind. Can’t think of any one position where they’ve had better talent. Even Bo @ RB would be iffy.

Poorly phrased question, but not a bad one if the question is how many Auburn players would make an All-Alabama (All Colleges included) starting roster. If that’s what you’re getting at I think it’s a fair off-season question.

Bias aside, I think Bo is a no brainer. Aside from that any other position is debatable. Would I put Cam on the list? Heck no, not when Namath existed and transcended the sport at both levels. I can’t think of another skill position player from Auburn where I couldn’t argue a Bama player was better. Are there some Defensive players or O-Linemen who belong on the list? I’m sure there are, but I don’t care enough to dig them up and do the comparisons.

Regardless, any list I (or anyone else) puts together is completely subjective. So it doesn’t matter.

In the post-tee era, Daniel Carlson was the best college kicker I ever saw. Don't know why he's been good but not dominant in the pros. He was money in college.

Late add: Still kills me that he grew up an Alabama fan. We wouldn't offer a scholarship because Adam Griffith had the only one we were willing to allocate to a PK. The barn offered a full ride, so he went there....along with his brother who is also now in the NFL.

That's at least two all-time barners (Bo Jackson being the other) who wanted to come to Tuscaloosa, but we botched the recruiting.

In the post-tee era, Daniel Carlsen was the best college kicker I ever saw. Don't know why he hasn't been as dominant in the pros, but he was money in college.
He was almost as good as Reichard!😉
Carlson was good, but besides Will missing 2 extra points (he did kick almost 50% more than Carlson though) Will had better stats. Had he kept up the pace of his SO and JR year, he would probably be untouchable, but he fell off in his SR year and went 23/31 74.2%
Will’s percentage on 50+ yard kicks is way better also.

Carlson:
198/198 XP, 92/114 FG 80.4% 13/21 50+yd 61.9%

Reichard:
295/297 XP, 84/100 FG 84% 10/13 50+ yd 83.3%

Auburn has had some great players over the years, including some Pro Football Hall of Famers. But, yeah, Bo Jackson is the only one I can think of, even aided with some quick Googling to refresh my memory, who would be first team at any position. I'd likely have had an Auburn kicker there before Will Reichard's tenure.
What Auburn kicker? Sure they had good ones, but better than Leigh Tiffin? He was clutch. Proctor, Tiffin again, Peter Kim, Jamie Christensen, Philip Doyle. Just because Nick had trouble with kickers doesn’t mean Bama didn’t have good ones through the years.
