How many carries will Aaron Johns get in the final 3 games?

Whether he's ready or not, AJ will need to get ready to carry the ball. I don't think Ken Darby can carry the ball 40 times and be effective. If they can squeaze 10 carries out AJ, and he can be effective, that's enough.

BTW, who's the #3 RB now? I have no idea.

As far as the RB situation goes, it's getting pretty thin for a Bama team that is really dependent on a running game to move the chains. I think the situation is causing the coaching staff to scratch their heads. You can bet AJ will get alot more reps to spell off Darby. Josh Smith, a walk-on(?), will see playing time and LeRon has been a workhorse at FB. I think we may also see alot more usage out of Brandon Brooks and Prothro in certain situations. In fact, I think adding these 2 would be a new wrinkle in the Offense that might surprise the rest of the teams on our slate.

I suppose whether he's ready or not he will carry 5-10 times and may be effective vs MS. IMO the real test will be vs LSU and the Barn.

For better or for worse, Darby will carry the ball a ton. When Johns is on the field you can see the inexperience. If we build a big lead against MSU he'll probably get a good deal of work, but I don't see him getting many touches at all against LSU and Auburn. Darby will get a ton of carries.

Mcclain will probably get more carries from the FB position. He has had some good runs when he's touched the ball. I would think McClain will get 8 or so carries and Johns getting maybe 10.

Brandon Mcaway and Theo Townsend are all I see on the roster behind our
starters. I know Mcaway played alot during the spring, so he would be the
next best choice. I look forward to seeing what Johns can do backing up
Darby. He is an exciting player to watch and has speed to burn.

not only will johns get at least 10 carries per game, but, i believe you will see about 8 more passes a game as well. we have to or LSU, auburn will burn our offense out with 8 in the box. we can probably survive msu.
