First cold weather of the cool season for us. Heat on for the first time. Set at 73 inside and feels very comfortable.

Sun is out and I'm headed to Mom's after lunch to prune her Queen Palms in time for yard waste pickup tomorrow.

49 here in Charleston...headed to 65 or so by Thursday...Saturday will be 57 and clear in Baton Rouge...

Clark Howard endorses this and says at night his goes down to 64.

I guess I will lower mine down a bit.

I'm in NJ - 45 outside - ours are set to 64. But when you live in colder climates, 64 feels pretty comfortable during the colder months.

You realize that's a myth, right? Go to the upper reaches of mn or maine in the summer and get back with me. Even southern insects weather cold just fine. But i like your idea! Was a crisp 25'ish degrees here this morning.

45 degrees and sunny here in Hoover. We had flurries yesterday and going down to the low 20's tonight. We keep the thermostat on 71-72 during the day and 69 at night. Glad to see some cold weather finally in 2020.

A Pest Control worker actually told me that when we lived in Alabama. I think he was talking about certain kinds of insects not across the board.

Colder this am in hartsvegas than yesterday. We lived at Ft. Carson (southside of Colorado Springs) 80-81. Loved it there. Wish my dad woulda settled there when he retired instead of moving back "home".

On Monte Sano, we hit 22F last week and had our first wood fire. This is the latest I've ever had a fire in this house and I've been here 35 years. Our criterion is not how cold it gets but the high has to be 50F or below, with no sun or with wind. The high the next day was 33F...
