I was thinking, We should pull for Texas... Texas will likely be #2 on Tuesday. Georgia likely top 4 or five.

I just can’t do it. SMU to me is the avatar for almost everything that was wrong with college football past and is with college football present. I’ve taken to referring to the current setup as the SMUification of college football…

I think the committee has already said Championship games wont affect rankings....however...we beat UGA last year and they were penalized!

We know that isn’t true though because if Georgia beats Texas again there is no way they keep Texas ranked ahead of them. That also would guarantee SMU a top 8 seed as that is where they will be this Tuesday but I guarantee if they lose in ACC championship game they will drop out or be last team in the field.

Looking at this rivalry week schedule, we need these teams to lose.
Tennessee, Texas A&M,BYU, and Miami
Whoever makes the SEC championship game, we need the lower ranked team to get completely thrashed?

Realistically, I know we're not up to par to win a championship, but that's all we have to hope for this last game.

If we're selected, I'll support and pull for my favorite team... I don't think we're up to par, but I assure you there will be AT LEAST 1 team selected that will make us scratch our heads.

It will be stunning if Miami is ahead of Alabama. They have not played one ranked team this year and barely skated by a couple of the wins. Alabama has beaten number 7/8, 13/14 and 18-20 and lost to 8/9.

When Alabama had 2 losses they were ranked above Miami with 1, surely now that they have 2, Bama with 3 will be ranked ahead of them. Also, the SEC has got to get 4 teams in or SOS means nothing and the SEC will go bonkers. Alabama is the 4th SEC team: Tex, UGA, UT, Bama. Alabama has won 4 of their last 5 games and recovered from the dismal OU showing with a solid-almost dominant (Bama never trailed and comfortably maintained a 2TD lead from middle of 3qtr forward) performance vs AU. AU’s record was bad but they could have won almost every game. Bama gave them their 2nd worst loss of the year 14 pts vs UGA 18 pts.

Alabama is definitely better than Miami and the CFPC has already shown they will rank Bama ahead of them even with 1 more loss. Bama is ranked very high by the computers (maybe too high, like #3 and #7) which the CFPC consults. Hopefully get in as #10-12, which sounds about right.

Not sure what the committee will do and don't trust them, but I really hope Bama makes it to the playoffs. Bama may not deserve it due to the losses to Vandy and especially OU, but there are a few other teams who don't deserve it either and they have 0 ranked wins but will still get in. Bama has 3 or 4 ranked wins. Hope the committee looks at SOS and SOR, etc this time. If we don't make the playoffs, I hope we play a decent team in a bowl game and get that 10th win. RTR
