Is there a scenario where we still back into the playoffs?

I want to beat Auburn, I want 5 in a row. We haven't had that many in row against them since I was a wee baby.

If we make it into the playoffs......ok. Still just want the LANK group over and done with as soon as possible. Any team we might potentially play on the road in the playoff....if they've got a defense....do you really think they won't be able to stop Milroe like all the other defensive teams have.

Don't care if we luck up and blow them out or win by 1.....just beat Auburn.

I'd also say that if South Carolina beats Clemson they should jump us and Ole Miss. I doubt they will given the head to head results, but they should.

Maybe you're right idk. I feel like based on where everyone is ranked that it's perfectly set up to leave Alabama out, probably the 1st team out unless some chaos happens.

I don't think they're going to punish a team that made their championship game by putting Alabama above the loser.
That’s what’s funny to me.

Just 1 week ago we as a group were mulling over how they can’t punish and leave out a CG loser if we had to play in the SECCG

Now we as a group want to slip in over a CG loser.

lolz lolz

We in no way shape or fashion are a playoff team and we do not deserve to be in the field.

You don’t get to throw up all over yourself vs a 1-5 team and still get a chance.

But maybe you get in anyway in this completely watered down vs of CFB.

The irony is, if we get in the playoffs, I wouldn’t want to play us.

Well if its Georgia, then we absolutely deserve to jump them if they lose in ATL. We beat them head to head. Georgia is the only team I'd argue that for, though, since the Big 12 teams are not even in the top 12 right now, but I'd argue it for them too if it came down to it bc SoS

That said I don't know if it'll even get that far. All we really need is to win the Iron Bowl and for both USCs to win this weekend, and we are most likely in

I would.

We are the easiest team in the Top 25 to game plan for.

Any team that has a Top 20 defense will completely shut down our offense which will allow their offense to wear out our defense.
If you have a very solid defensive front 7, you can beat Alabama. But most teams in the playoff will know how to beat Alabama and still not have the personnel to do so.

I don’t believe that.

Milroes stats vs Top 10-15 defenses especially are absolutely dreadful with almost a 2 Turnover to 1TD ratio.

Bama would be an 11-12 seed at best.

The 5th or 6th seed would most likely have a pretty good defense.

But all that aside this Bama team does not deserve a slot.

They deserve an opt out Bowl.

I wouldn't want to play us in the first round. With extra time to prepare this staff seems good at pulling out some wrinkles that really throw people off. The 2nd round though?

Most of the team getting in the playoffs do not have good defenses. You guys tend to watch SEC games. Only 3 or 4 of the teams getting in will be from the SEC. About the same from the B1G. None of the other teams will have good defenses. None of them.

I wonder how some of our fans find joy at being a Bama fan. Or is it a George Jefferson thing, where he was happiest when he was yelling?

I get being upset. I even get being picky and complaining about little things. Our coach was that way.

For me, if you take away the joy, what’s the point?

And now it’s permeating into hoops. I see it in softball too.

I do sometimes need to walk away from it for a few days. So I can decompress and re-prioritize Bama sports within my life, and then I can find my way back to “joy”

When I can’t do that anymore, I’ll walk away.

I see a lot of people with zero joy over this football team. Just don’t know how you all handle it.

Thankful for having one helluva a 17 year ride. :)

For me, there is still far more to love about the game than there are frustrations. I don't want or need things to stay the same to enjoy them. But I have to admit that some things about this specific Alabama team make watching games too stressful. 10 years ago I would not have cared, but I am getting older and stress is now something that I need to try and avoid.

Same. I am very capable of turning off the game in the second half, and watching a rerun of everybody loves Raymond, or playing a game of cards with my wife.

I agree with you most of the time but not this time.

These are the Top 15 teams in Total Defense right now...

1) tSOU
2) Texas
3) Indiana
4) ND
5) PSU
6) Tenn
7) Oregon

13) USCe
14) Miami
15) UGA

I omitted 8-12 because those teams aren't in contention

There will be a bit more shuffling over the next two weeks but either way Bama would be a low 11-12 seed and would draw a 5 or 6 seed which is somebody in that top 7.

We would get Destroyed vs a Defense of that caliber on the Road.

I know that because it's happened Twice this season.

I get zero joy from watching a team underachieve because they aren't doing things the right way.

If they looked like their hearts were in it and were properly prepared and played their guys out but were 8-3 I would have joy cheering them on.

These dudes don't care, so I guess I shouldn't either.

Unlike the past when I was younger I can now turn the TV off and go do something else.

I'm never watching another game that has Milroe on the field because he makes my blood boil.

As Saban said in his interview on McAfee's show recently....players are temporarily committed and self indulgent. They are worried about playing time and pay. Those things right there have turned me....that, and seeing this crap we've seen on the field with Milroe. That attempted tackle on the pick six tells me all I need to know about him. We aren't seeing Bama football.

georgia could lose this week to tech and then again in the seccg.

just putting that out there for the universe to ruminate over.
