That's some Western logic right there.

I wish it were true, but I suspect this just hardens the resolve.
Western logic “take their capital and bomb them to oblivion… that ought to do it”

Eastern logic: “We don’t need cities when we got mountains and time”

If anything… this probably stopped all civil turmoil in Iran and has made the regime look legitimate in the eyes of the Iranians. Netanyahu will probably expand his war in Gaza and in the West Bank because now the Iranians have a reason to attack us now.

What we probably did was set them back 3-4 years at best from where they were at, but just incentivized them to seek nuclear capabilities in the future. I’m still skeptical with anything our regime says so I will wait for a more credible source on the extent of damages to the facilities

Some of the online traffic out there is saying that Israel badly underestimated the number of ballistic missiles Iran had and would continue to be hit hard without help from the US to defend itself. In short Netanyahu started something he could not finish.

There are all type of downstream impacts from this for the US expending men and materials in Iran rather than dealing with the threat of China in the Pacific.

Trump alienates our allies all over the globe then gets involved in a shooting war. Nothing good to come for the US in the years ahead.

I did not last long into Hegseth’s speech - I mean his Trump rump kissing. I rolled my eyes when he said the “operation Trump planned.” They desperately want people to believe that the dumbest person in the room is the smartest in the world. I turned it off when he started reading a social media post from Trump. My goodness, he can't take his lips off that man’s rear for a single second.

"The experts are terrible."

Amazing to me how when an expert is wrong FORECASTING THE FUTURE, that means the expert is terrible, but when Trump declares bankruptcy, that's being a SUCCESSFUL businessman......

The fact an expert is wrong, doesn't mean expertise is wrong. And it doesn't mean some clown with a password and a search engine is the equivalent of Einstein if just clicks the right sites that prove his confirmation bias.

Trump no more planned this than Bush 41 planned the Baghdad ground invasion, which he left up to his military planners, and I don't recall Schwarzkopf or Powell or Cheney OR Bush boasting about what specifically they did. Stormin' Norman would brief us, yes, but he reserved his praise for those on the ground executing the maneuvers.

MAJOR news from Iran: Iran's parliament officially approves CLOSING the Strait of Hormuz for the first time since 1972.

If approved by Iran's top security body, shipments of 20+ MILLION barrels of oil PER DAY will be impacted.

What's next? Let us explain. (a thread)
Yep. I wonder if Daddy War Trump thinks this looks like peace and good for the economy

Yeah that applies to Netanyahu and his genocide of the people in Gaza too.
Sure but how many Americans are currently living and working in Israel?

Hundreds of thousands, right?

Plus - how many Americans has Iran killed, either by themself or by proxy?

They hate America and if this prevents them from developing a nuclear weapon I think it helps not only Israel but also us - and many others.

I respect you and am glad you are posting your thoughts, but this isn't a black and white issue. They are good arguments why this bombing is a good thing.

Obviously the situation is still playing out so we'll see what happens. Thanks!

Oops......that's not going to make China and many others happy who depend on the Mideast for their oil.

Fortunately for us, we are producing enough on our own to be independent.

Unlike China......

Probably at 35k or in an airport somewhere
The reason Dictator Trump uses "2 weeks" all the time is because he hopes by that time that something else will come along and occupy the media's energy. Then he can move on to something else without actually solving anything. Like that article said, his solutions are always "2 weeks" away. Yet his base continues to fall for it every single time.

Let's not forget that he ran on being the only person who could bring peace to the world, yet he hasn't stopped any wars. It's only getting worse under his watch, yet MAGA folks believe he is some great world leader. Please, no foreign power fears this bafoon.
I'll take "Posts That Didn't Age Well' for a $1000, Alex

Pretty good grouping, looks like my day at the Renge. I read they attacked vent shafts to make the penetration easier. Maybe they just watched a star wars movie before the plan? IMG_0903.png

I didn’t want it, but now that it has happened, I am behind it.

Okay but that’s Americans in a foreign country.

Nowhere near as many Palestinian civilians who have been indiscriminately killed, targeted, or starved in this current war by Nentanyahu’s government. Probably nowhere near as much as Iranian civilian casualties in the last 8 days by Israeli missiles.

Everyone wants to cry for every American and Israeli killed in a war, but if it is a Palestinian or Iranian civilian it’s usually “well they shouldn’t allow the government to exist”

It’s not black and white and to a large degree I’m against Iran getting a nuclear weapon. But I’m reminded that the last time we used Netanyahu’s intelligence in ridding the world of WMDs in an Islamic country that we found out that the intelligence was grossly overstated and trillions of dollars and countless American lives were lost. So I’m not sold on going to war over intelligence given to us by a habitual liar and war monger when just about everyone else’s intelligence says differently.
