Well, if Jimbo's gone, maybe they don't need to fund that Aggie Recruiting Corporation. Maybe all that money will go to the buy-out.

I think that's correct. But he can't transfer until the window opens in December. So I guess one could play in a bowl game for another team.

I'm guessing Petrino will takeover as interim HC for the final two games. I do agree with those who have said TAMU has probably contacted some high profile coaches to gauge their interest. I don't see Norvell leaving FSU and jumping into the SEC meat grinder. They would be absolutely insane to even talk with Meyer, but you never know what that bunch will do. Elko and Lanning make sense although neither has a long track record. One thing for sure, every SEC school, to include Texas and Oklahoma, will be ramping up their recruiting efforts. Going to be an interesting next month or two. This firing makes me think Arkansas will go ahead and pull the trigger on Pittman.

Does anyone think it might be Petrino if he is the intermin head coach? Could these last 3 games and possible bowl game be a test since IMO this is an unusual time to fire a coach?

Off subject, but Bosie State just fired their coach after a big win last night, I guess the moral of the story is don't win big before the season ends
