They're gonna float names like Meyer, Dabo, Lanning, and Kiffin...maybe even Bob Stoops....and then they're gonna hire somebody like Jeff Traylor (UTSA), using the "because he knows the high schools so well to recruit" logic, which is code for "we don't really wanna pay all that much to go 8-4."

There is a zero percent chance Lanning entertains this while he's in the playoff hunt...and aTm can't wait until the playoffs end for a "might come here," either.

Only tangentially related to the point, but yet again, another coach needs to buy Nick Saban another resort-area condo. Like Sumlin. Like Freeze. Like Gus. Every one of them made generational money off of beating us, then tanking. Dabo might be on this list at some point, but it’s a bit early yet.

A&M will dominate the SEC if, and only if, Alabama/GA/LSU moves out of the conference. Otherwise, A&M is a more expensive Ole Miss long term.

I trust Saban but I honestly cannot imagine the amount of coaching those sexat 8&4 players will require just to undo all the poor habits they've been allowed while in College Station.
