Joe McKnight Update

My goodness, If Joe McKnight ends up at Ole Miss, it will be time for the NCAA gestapo to start examining the records of every bank in a five hundred mile radius of Oxford, MS.
I heard that Pete Carrol has an in home visit with JM on Wednesday. Makes sense, because I believe he will be with Ahmad Paige at some point this week, so a trip to NOLA isn't out of the question.

I Just heard some great news on Joe McKnight. Scott McKinney on SST just reported that it is now between LSU and ole miss. McKinney is usually way off in his predictions.
I'm gonna call bs on this. I might have believed it if you said he droppped USC, but keeping ole miss instead of Bama? Haha no! Its going to be a LSU vs Bama race right until signing day.

I don't like the part about Carroll visiting on Wednesday. He's a talker, and knows how to close deals.

I have said all along it would be the plum of the class to get JM. However,if he doesn't visit this weekend we out of the race. Also,if he does it only gives us a 33% chance at best! IMO,its been a USC/LSU race all along and I doubt OM is a player at all.

Anyone else think it strange that Ole Miss, home of Col. Reb and other symbols, though possibly beloved to our southern heritage, not exactly compatible to national recruiting success, is suddenly so attractive to top prospects?

The stigma has been used as a reason for lack of recruiting success for only about the past 30 years. Suddenly, everybody seems to love Ole Miss.

I guess during the past 30 years, they just didn't have the right coach. ;) RTR.

JM would make a good decision coming here, he'd have a chance to start very soon unlike in SC most likely, and I simply don't like the way LSU uses their running backs.

I would love to get him.just don't have much telling me that we will! The only card besides CNS is PT and he will get that wherever he goes.

They're all just "by God Ole Miss material." :rolleye2:

HOW he is used might be just as important to him, especially in how that affects his Pro aspirations. Although he possesses a huge amount of raw talent, how that talent is developed will be critical to his future success. In that light, CNS would seem to have the upper hand over LSU, or even USC, because of his reputation. No offense to our LSU posters, but I don't think CLM can match that, at least not at this point in his career.

Heard on Rivals radio that McKnight was announcing his decision sometime this morning and that it was expected to be between LSU, USC, and Ole Miss. Anyone else heard anything on this?

I heard it on an LSU forum, but nobody can tell me what he decided, and it's past 10. Actually, I heard he was announcing if he was taking anymore visits. I think it's all just rumors, and it will all be over in a week and a day.

I believe that it is just for him to announce if he will make anymore visits. If he is giving his verbal, then that will favor LSU.

I am hearing now that it, according to Rivals, was a "script mistake", and that Joe will announce on signing day. I guess he could announce whether or not he will take any more visits, but I just think it's sad, as grown men and women, that we hang on every POTENTIAL word an 18 year old says. I include myself in this shame, and pledge to get a life as soon as possible!
