Jordan Palmer is doing what he's supposed to do and that's not publicly talk bad about a paying customer. Would anyone think he'd publicly say anything other than what he said?

Reading some of the posts here makes one question whether Jordan Palmer has any idea what he’s talking about regarding the QB position.

Or maybe he’s just pumping up one of his clients in order to stump for his QB business.

But there’s no way on earth he honestly believes what he said in that video about Milroe’s prospects for the upcoming season.

It is amazing how one of the top QB evaluators in all of college football is a complete moron and is clueless when it comes to Milroe. He needs to find a different occupation.

This is where the Milroe supporters themselves turn the argument to absurd levels. Absolutely no one called Palmer a moron or said he should change occupations. Yet here we are with someone making a blanket statement to cover all people who aren’t 100% all in on Milroe even though no one said Palmer was a moron or should change occupations.

This all or none crap from both sides needs to stop. Yes Milroe does receive alot of unjust criticism, but that doesn’t mean ALL criticism should be viewed as unjust. Otherwise what is the point of a message board when everyone is just a sunshine pumping robot.

I'm almost certain we can go back and find failed quarterbacks who Jordan Palmer thought would be successful. It doesn't mean Palmer doesn't know what he's doing it just means even a private QB coach can be wrong. He wouldn't be the first one and wouldn't be the last.

Heck Nick Saban has gaffed on numerous players. Doesn’t mean he sucks or isn’t the greatest coach of all time.

My point is more that we have an absurd over correction by the Milroe crowd going on in that ANY criticism whatsoever is seen as hater speech or Al.com level moronic posting. Yeah we have our share but too often legitimate critiques are being lumped in with with over the top ones.

As for Jordan Palmer… i honestly haven’t kept up with him that much. The video to me really doesn’t show alot so it’s hard to take anything too positive or negative from. The thing about quarterback gurus is that there is a new one every year and it’s still a business. So ofcourse everyone of them is going to talk up their highs and downplay their lows to attract clients. I will say however, that I’m happy to hear Milroe has sought outside help to improve his game.

Accumlative affect in my comments but you are correct. I agree that all is not unjust but some are and it does need to stop. The sunshine pumping comes from leading experts saying he is a possible A-A, Heisman and 1st round draft pick candidate. That's not us sunshine pumpers. I think a lot of people are still upset about the last play and losing to Michigan (or other) which is understandable but some comments are downright disrespectful.

Sure he can find a few plays that look good. I can find 20 plays from first or second down where he tried to throw a 40 yard go route into coverage instead of a 12 yard route to open receiver. I'm not sure palmer can help that. Maybe Deboer can get him to check ball down or read the coverage better. That's not even talking about the times he chooses to throw ball when he can take a quick 10 yards with his legs. Those 3 and outs with a deep ball incomplete pass kills our defense.

But here is the thing… experts are wrong too, and like buzzard has hinted at some can’t afford to say something negative about a guy because it affects their business. Case in point Josh Pate won’t say anything negative or that contradicts what Dennis Dodd or Gary Danielson says because of the CBS umbrella over his company. How many times has Dodd said something so ridiculous that everyone with a brain knew it was wrong but all of the sudden you see Pate defending him on his show?

As for preseason Heisman and All American ratings… I just don’t know if they are anything more reliable than a preseason poll by the AP. It’s usually a lazy forecast based on last year. Could Milroe achieve those distinctions? Sure and absolutely, but how it’s being presented by some is like we should expect some Joe Burrow like 2nd year transformation. I just don’t know if that’s realistic at this point but still possible.

As for 1st round talent… I think that’s a stretch. But then again Anthony Richardson is a first rounder so it’s still possible. As is I see Milroe as your typical late 2nd rounder to 3rd rounder kinda of quarterback. But then again Antony Richardson so….

Is he required to publicly comment on his clients?

IF that's the case (like when you sign on with him you're guaranteed a certain amount of good press or whatever), and he's never going to say bad things about them, then his business would seem to be as much about PR as it is coaching.

IF he isn't required to make public comments, then he wouldn't say anything unless he had good things to say, because lying about his clients probably wouldn't help his business in the long run if he's regularly hyping players he knows aren't any good.
