I think most people who follow football closely know who he is...maybe not.
Kudos for you if you did know. But there is no way I can prove if you did or just googled it and acted like you knew. But I guarantee you that the vast majority of fans don’t know who he is prior to this video or at best mistakenly thought he was his brother.

Reading some of the posts here makes one question whether Jordan Palmer has any idea what he’s talking about regarding the QB position.

Or maybe he’s just pumping up one of his clients in order to stump for his QB business.

But there’s no way on earth he honestly believes what he said in that video about Milroe’s prospects for the upcoming season.
I don’t care what Palmer says, or what Milroe does in practice. The closest thing to game situations was the A-Day and that vanilla defense shut him down. I don’t want to hear about the special touch and you’re down rules because Milroe wants to be a pocket passer, and he wasn’t pocket passing at A-Day.

I get supporting Milroe, but gaslighting those who see his flaws with an “expert” who also happens to have Milroe as a client is just wrong.

The only thing that I found even remotely interesting about what Jordan Palmer said was that Milroe is fully bought in. Could just be coach speak but it does seem to fit with most other comments about Milroe IMO. He seems at least willing to work. We will see if that pays off for him or not.

I seriously doubt most college football fans know who Jordan Palmer is. I would bet most serious NFL fans know who he is unless they are pretty young

Just like when Deboer praised Milroe....what did you expect, none of these people are going to publicly say anything negative about the kid.

The tell though....live action, game situations....how does he handle it. He didn't handle A Day so well. I guess at least he didn't throw his helmet.

I do enjoy the comments that claim we want Milroe to fail just so we can be right. Thats an absurd statement. I'd love for him to come out and have a Burrow like improvement. I'm not holding my breath for that though, that kind of improvement is like spotting a unicorn.

The sunshine pumpers though....can we at least admit the strengths of a typical Deboer offense are the exact weaknesses in Milroes game?

When the situation calls for him to hit a short crossing route for a first down with a blitz coming....will he hit the guy instead of looking deep and taking the sack?

You know this is probably the best take on the situation. I think most people are just happy that he is getting help. But again it seems alot of people are taking preseason hype on a heisman race, AA projections, and what a guy who Milroe has hired as a coach as indication that he has improved and will be this complete product when we head into game 3. It doesnt always work that way. Its just as likely you will see a Kelly Bryant story as you will see a Joe Burrow story. I am ofcourse hoping for the latter but I have to still consider the real possibility of the former. Sometime a ceiling is unbreakable and sometimes it can be shattered its life.

The only reason I know him is because Im a huge NFL fan. He is really just now getting steam in college because of Bo Nix and his partnership with the XFL. But yeah he isnt really a widely talked about name that the average college football fan would probably know.

Some of DeBoer's offense involves Milroe's weaknesses. But DeBoer loves taking deep shots which is a Milroe strength. Penix had almost the same percentage of his attempts go 20+ yards as Milroe last year. So in that way he's a good fit.

I think my biggest hope for Milroe is that DeBoer really proves to be a QB whisperer and that Milroe working hard pays off. We'll find out 🤷‍♂️

Deboer is known less of a qb whisperer and more as a wr whisperer. His offense is based around attacking space with Wrs. Its not a traditional air raid system and is less about the quarterback playing like a Caleb Williams and more about being a distributer. They are essentially the 2011-2017 Patriots on steroids in how they attack you. Its why Shepard is probably more essential to our staff than Grubbs ever was. My biggest worry about Milroe in this system is the deep ball... Not that he cant throw but his over reliance on it. There is going to be so many receivers wide open this year that it isnt funny, im just concerned on whether or not he can break that habit of trying to strike up the band every play and can settle for playing small and medium ball.

I think his weaknesses are correctable but we wont know until Camp Randall.

Yea there are definitely aspects of the offense that are not a fit for Milroe and over reliance on the deep ball would not be ideal. But I do like that DeBoer likes taking deep shots. I just think that one small part is a good fit for Milroe.

I also like that from the sounds of it DeBoer has a really solid system for implementing his offense. From what I can tell he tries to simplify it for the players as much as possible.

I am not predicting that Milroe will thrive under DeBoer but I do think in some ways if Milroe is going to turn into an NFL QB DeBoer was probably the best hire for him. Again I am not saying it will definitely work out.

How this started off was you had Team Milroe and Team Simpson back last spring. Then those of us who went to scrimmage and heard what Saban and the other coaches said told everyone that we may have a quarterback problem. To which many on this board dismissed after A day looked passable (no pun intended). Then Buchner comes in and everyone gets entrenched into their camps even worse.

However out of the three camps the Milroe camp has been by far the loudest and obnoxious camp in terms of trying to dunk on the others. It started with Stephen M Smith making up crap about Simpson being a Daddy’s boy and the Receivers won’t practice with TS or TB. Then after a game against a directional school we got a thread seriously comparing JM to Vince Young….

Then Texas and USF happened and we kinda had a quiet point of the season until LSU in which you started to see Milroe fanboys posting “you were wrong” threads weekly and saying stupid stuff like “he is better than Bryce and Tua” over and over and over until we get beat by Michigan.

My point is that Milroe gets a lot of unjust criticism but he gets a load of obnoxious supporters to justify everything too. Really this whole thing persists because the normal in the middle fan has concerns at quarterback and both of the fringe groups keep trying to control the conversation by labeling you either a hater or fanboy because you have a far more complex opinion than them.

i'm glad knowing that he is working his butt off to get better and is fully committed to this team.

we get it, we get it, you’re a racist and obviously can’t comprehend that all the experts think he’s wonderful, must be because your overwhelming desire to see Milroe fail clouds your vision.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
You don’t have to be a sunshine pumper or even a Milroe fan to be disgusted by the fact that there are people posting here who obviously want Milroe to fail so they can be proven right that he’s a bum of a QB.

I can’t recall there being so much disdain for a player among the fan base.

I want the best player to get the job, but there are some people who would criticize the way he chews gum at this point.

It’s gotten pretty absurd.
I would disagree. I actually see a hypersensitivity from posters who cannot handle people being critical of their favorite player. Most things being said about Milroe literally can be pointed out on film. Certainly you have some overkill from a few. But the majority of criticism are things you can freeze the tape and point out. Bottom line, the guy has to improve in several areas and unfortunately those things are the last things people saw of him last season.

Someone call Krazy. Idk where he's been but I feel like what's missing from the Milroe discussion is his dissertation
Krazy has been here and there ever since we started to expand playoffs and pay players. That’s part of it that is doing away with alot of fans. I mean there are rumblings that the number of non renewals in tide pride this year is close to 5k. Idk if that’s accurate but it’s not unrealistic.

But these stupid arguments have driven off alot of great posters because they get caught in the crossfire over them. This all or none and us or them mentality for discussion isn’t healthy.

Last year was not possibly a great season when you watched how it unfolded.
Nick Saban was proud of what the team accomplished considering it looked really bad to start the year.

We had problems for sure, but there is simply no context in which a 12-2 season, SEC title, a playoff berth, and stopping UGA from a 3 peat is a disappointment.

Disappointing end? Absolutely. Disappointing season? No way.

I have a foot out the door on the whole college sports thing. It is not going to take much more for me to leave and slam the door behind me. Still don’t know if I will even bother with this season.

I try to stay out of the QB arguments so much so that there may be a few posters that are unsure where I really stand.
