Re: CB Deion Belue Updates

He says he plans on graduating in December and have three to play two. Have not heard much on his recruitment this time around. Do you think he has a committable offer?
FWIW, I've been told from someone on NEMCC's staff that Belue is the best athlete they've ever coached.

Belue can't wait to make it to campus and he's been drawing rave reviews from everyone who's seen him play.

From what I've been told, the staff still really wants him.

I hope we get him in along with Dixon. With what we are going to have leave after this year we will need some experience at the DB position.

Re: CB Deion Belue Updates

There has never been any concern whatsoever with Belue's raw ability. The kid can play, no doubt about that, and it's no accident that we took him anyway despite all of the academic concerns.

Still, though, it's not athletic ability that is the concern. He's got to get his academics in order first.

Re: CB Deion Belue Updates

And have been for some time now.
It's good to hear we are a lock for Belue if grades are good and Dixon. I like bringing in these Juco corners with experience and maturity. With the mass exodeus to the NFL for most in our secondary this year and if Milliner keeps developing he may be gone next year, we need good, quality DB's in this class.

so right. Probably lose Dre, MEnzie, Baron, possibly Lester. I think Phelon has another year. We'll have Milliner and Fulton/ Phelon be the primary corners next year without much depth. Plus, we play a lot of nickel. Could use 2 corners to come in and play. Should be ok at safety even if we lose Baron and Lester.

i know Christion Jones has been playing receiver for us this year, but I wonder if he still has options of moving back to CB. i really think his skills are best utilized on defense.

I'm pretty sure Phelon is a Sr. Jones may move back to D and we also have Jabriel Washington who most likely is going to redshirt this year.

Bama loses Phelon, Menzie, Barron and Dre (most likely). Lester is a Junior. The current CBs for next year are - Milliner, Fulton and Jabriel Washington. Anyone I'm missing?

I was hearing rumblings about Bradley Sylve moving to defense.
