I'm thinking it really shouldn't . Belue would be more the pure corner with Dixon stepping into the role Menzie has had :)

I remember a LOT of people here were very high on Belue in his original recruitment. He will be a much needed addition in our secondary next year!

Yep, we are putting pieces in motion to not have a significant drop off next year on defense, even if we replace a majority of starters.

That's a heck of a statement RTO considering the overall ranking of this years D. I had to read it twice and I agree with you. Strange but true.

I remember when we were recruiting him before juco his speed was unreal but does anyone remember what it was?

Belue is not a "for sure" recruit considering he has yet to play D1. With Menzie AND Dre gone, I don't see it affecting Dixon if we want him. We still have room for plenty of PT and the way Saban loves to shuffle in DB's, why wouldn't he want to come? It's no guarantee Belue would beat him out either.

If he's that scared to compete, not sure we need him.

Capstone is correct, we would take both and the staff is working towards that goal. Dixon looked to be in the bag mid-week, but he ultimately decided to take an official visit to Miami this weekend. Most, though, are thinking that is not going to make a difference in the end and we'll get him, too, in the coming days.

Lots of talk that Belue came up three hours short on credits and is now scrambling to find some sort of interim course to take. Only God knows how the ball was dropped on this one between him and his counselors, but it certainly looks like this has blown up at the last minute.

For what it's worth, Belue was supposed to fax his LOI to 'Bama either yesterday or this morning. Obviously that hasn't happened.

How does this stuff keep happening. Even if he gets it I'm sure the clearinghouse will strike him down anyway. Unbelievable.

Not a Clearinghouse issue, just like was the case with Duron Carter. To state somewhat differently what RTO said, the problem will be finding a class legitimate enough for UA Admissions to sign off on. Much, much easier said than done in late December.
