With nothing much to do this afternoon, I have gone back to 2003 and totaled points scored points, given up etc...here's what I have determined:
2003 - pts scored: 331...pts given up: 330
2004 - pts scored: 295...pts given up: 189
2005 - pts scored: 263...pts given up: 128
2006 - pts scored: 222...pts given up: 142 (9 games)
All Games played: average scoring 24.4 ppg...give up 17.2 ppg
In games we win, we average scoring: 29.1 ppg...give up: 9.7 ppg
In games we lose, we average scoring: 17.7 ppg...while giving up 26.9 ppg
Only 5 times since 2003 have we given up 30 or more points and we lost all 5 games. (that's not bad only having 5 games where the opponent scored 30 or more)
13 times since 2003 we have given up 20 -29 points...we've lost 11 of these games.
4 times we have lost when giving up 16-19 points.
Moral of the statistic: if we score more than 29 ppg chances are good we win...if we hold the opponent to under 16 chances are good that we win.
Oh well back to doing something productive.
