Traditionally, outgoing justices gets to make the official announcement as they wish. That doesn't mean someone's not gonna leak it.
This just in: Mitch McConnel says that he won’t participate in a USSC nomination until the American people use the polls to exercise their will when the next Republican president is selected by the newly appointed Republican state election oversight committees.

This is, of course, Trump’s fourth Justice, since he ensured a Senate Dem majority.
The article was update because it was wrong. The GOP can't stop this, only a simple majority is needed, not 60 votes. Assuming that nothing negative is discovered during this vetting process, I'm guessing it may be Childs. Without Clyburn's support during the primary Biden may not have won the nomination and she is Clyburn's favorite. Also, with 8 of the nine justices graduates from either Harvard or Yale (ACB is ND), it would be nice to see some diversity there.

In true Republican bipartisan fashion, he will continue to speak glowingly of her nomination(if it happens), but will vote "NO" in the confirmation vote. The same for empty suit, Ben Sasse of Nebraska.
Graham is partisan, no doubt, but his voting record would suggest he would still vote to confirm a qualified judge. He voted yes for both Kagan and Sotomayor.

Right now, the Senate majority is razor-thin. If they can pick off Manchin and Sinema, you know darn well the rest of the GOP members in the Senate would stay the course, putting in a delay until after mid-terms. I don't trust McConnell and his ilk to do their jobs.
